Role Description Senior Analyst, Analytics - Belk (Individual Contributor) role is a part of India Analytics Hub (IAH). The role involves developing analytical solutions in partnership with US Analytics teams across marketing planning, measurement and optimization, customer analytics, targeting & segmentation, forecasting, etc. areas to identify growth opportunities, optimize business strategies and derive actionable insights across customer journey. Seeking intellectually curious candidate with a passion for delivering impact in the sales and marketing analytics world, capable of problem solving and working independently. Key Responsibilities - Provide hands-on analytic support to the team and proactively manage assigned analytics projects with weekly updates on timeline and status. - Prepare and maintain end-to-end weekly/monthly reports, report findings and open items to leadership. - Execute analytics delivery for new value propositions, customer acquisitions, lifecycle marketing and customer experience initiatives; contribute insights and recommendations. - Proactively propose and execute analytics projects; independently own smaller initiatives and support larger strategic projects to drive business impact. - Gather requirements and deliver ad hoc analyses as needed, communicating estimates, dependencies, and priorities. - Identify automation opportunities in reporting and analytics workflows; design and implement low-to-medium complexity automations. - Demonstrate learning agility by quickly adopting new tools/technologies introduced in the organization and applying them to drive portfolio growth and efficiency. - Contribute to internal initiatives, perform other duties and/or special projects, as assigned. Qualifications - Minimum 2 years of experience in building analytical solutions to drive strategy with positive outcomes and measuring impact. - Minimum 2 years of hands-on SQL / SAS programming experience with an ability to leverage advanced algorithms and be efficient in handling complex/large data sets from multiple sources. - Good working knowledge of basic statistical tests, distributions, regression techniques. - Advanced proficiency in MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint with superior data analyses and storyboarding skills. - Ability to explore and adopt latest tools and techniques in the industry and leverage them for business growth. - Ability to work in a matrix organization, make and enable data-driven decisions. - Demonstrated ability to manage complexity/ambiguity and multiple initiatives. - Proven ability to work independently, yet as a key member and contributor to a broader team. Desired Skills/Knowledge - Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to engage effectively with a broad range of audiences including senior business leaders, other senior analytics leaders, and highly technical talent. - Proven hands-on experience utilizing SAS and SQL; Experience with open-source tools such as R and Python a plus; Experience with Tableau a plus. Familiarity with Gen AI is a plus. - Experience with modeling/forecasting, and strong understanding of targeting and segmentation. - Experience in credit card or financial services will be a plus. Eligibility Criteria - Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or any other quantitative streams with 2+ years of relevant analytics experience. Work Timings This role qualifies for Enhanced Flexibility and Choice offered in Synchrony India and will require the incumbent to be available between 06:00 AM Eastern Time – 11:30 AM Eastern Time (timings are anchored to US Eastern hours and will adjust twice a year locally). This window is for meetings with India and US teams. The remaining hours will be flexible for the employee to choose. Exceptions may apply periodically due to business needs.
