• Research companies that match the ideal customer profile (ICP). • Identify buying signals, growth indicators and business opportunities. • Conduct detailed online research to verify company information through multiple trusted sources. • Research founders, executives and key decision-makers. • Build highly qualified prospect lists with an emphasis on quality over quantity. • Record and organise research findings using Google Sheets. • Personalise LinkedIn connection requests and email outreach. • Follow established outreach frameworks while tailoring messaging to each prospect. • Manage lead follow-up schedules and nurture prospects over time. • Book qualified discovery calls with the Founder. • Maintain accurate prospect records and research documentation. • Collaborate closely with the Founder to continuously refine prospecting strategies. • Monitor LinkedIn activity and engage with relevant prospects where appropriate. • Work closely with the Founder to continuously refine research criteria, outreach strategies and ideal customer profiles.
Job Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in lead generation or business development within a B2B environment.
- Proven experience researching companies and identifying high-intent prospects using buying signals and business growth indicators.
- Strong experience building highly targeted prospect lists with an emphasis on quality over quantity.
- Experience conducting personalised outreach through LinkedIn and Gmail.
- Proficient in using Apollo.io for prospect research, contact sourcing and lead generation.
- Experience using Hunter.io or similar email lookup tools, to source and verify business email addresses.
- Strong working knowledge of LinkedIn for researching decision-makers, engaging with prospects and building professional relationships.
- Experience using Google Sheets/ Excel to organise prospect lists, document research and track lead information.
- Experience using Google Docs to manage outreach templates, messaging sequences and prospect notes.
- Comfortable using AI research tools such as Perplexity AI, ChatGPT and Claude to accelerate company research while independently verifying information through trusted sources.
- Ability to validate company information through company websites, news articles, podcasts, founder interviews and other publicly available sources.
- Excellent written English with the ability to personalise cold emails and LinkedIn messages.
- Strong research, analytical and critical thinking skills.
- High attention to detail, organised and excellent documentation skills.
- Self-motivated, results-driven and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
