Medical Imaging Field Engineer

• You will be servicing AX/XP Imaging Equipment in the Oklahoma City, OK area. • You will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing and performing preventative maintenance on all Siemens Healthcare systems at customer sites with minimal supervision. • You will be responsible for delivering both timely and effective repairs as well as adequate training of operators to ensure optimal system performance, resulting in superior customer satisfaction. • You will manage financial performance within their territory, meeting or exceeding budget for revenue generation, expense control and inventory management. • Ensure that all tool and test equipment expiration dates are managed, and that no overdue calibration test equipment is used or maintained in the field and usage of tool and test is documented on eFSR. • You will manage company assets to include a company car, cell phone, computer, tools, inventory parts, etc. • Establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers, as well as performing necessary administrative duties accurately. • Provides mentoring to other CSE’s on all competencies and responsibilities.
Job Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma; technical Associates Degree or equivalent preferred.
- 3-5 years' experience as a medical technologist or field service engineer (biomedical engineer) servicing diagnostic instruments needed.
- Must be proficient in the use of tools and service test equipment, with the ability to work both individually and in an established team setting.
- Proficiency in all necessary network applications and tools (including but not limited to eVO, mButler, MS Office applications, Concur, NAM Customer Service website—Engineer Tools).
- Can locate, read, and understand documents for install, set-up, repair, troubleshooting, schematics, block diagrams and functional descriptions.
- Valid driver's license, ability to drive independently day and night, and good driving record required.

Role Description The Field Engineer I performs on time and accurate Preventative Maintenance in one or more modalities of equipment. The FE1 is aware of and follows all Field Modification Instructions and/or Instrument Service Information bulletins. Works with experienced Field Engineers, both onsite and remotely, to learn troubleshooting, repair and equipment installation techniques. Responsible for driving customer satisfaction through Service Excellence. Key Roles and Experiences - Perform timely and accurate preventative maintenance on medical equipment with a hospital or healthcare system to ensure optimal delivery of healthcare services to patients. - Perform troubleshooting and basic service repairs on customer equipment. - Assist more experienced field engineers with equipment installations and more complex repairs. - Proactively engage with other team members to ensure appropriate solution for the customer. - Maintain relationships with customers and ensure timely communication, resolution and proper follow up to drive customer satisfaction. - Adhere to company policies, procedures and hospital protocols to ensure regulatory and compliance requirements are met; ensuring documentation of all work performed is captured daily, including debriefing and ordering parts. - Partner with the customer and/or the sales team to recommend value-added services that will help the customer run their business more efficiently. - Utilize the GEHC escalation process, as needed, and work closely with region and national support to define and implement corrective action plans to resolve customer issues. Role Description With minimal supervision, the Field Application Engineer is responsible for, but not limited to, design and manufacturing related functions required by key customers. This is done synergistically with sales and manufacturing to achieve all customer design targets and goals. This position is in support of the Bay Area Territory in the Northern California region. Individuals in this position can be located within the region, but preference is given to the Bay Area. Responsibilities - Work with OEM engineers, Manufacturer's Representatives, Distribution Partners, and Territory Sales Managers to implement Laird solutions for existing, next generation, and cost reduction programs. - Regularly attend customer meetings and provide technical design support while building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders. - Utilize Laird and Qnity products and materials to solve customer challenges with insightful and detailed design solutions. - Present design solutions to customers, utilizing modeling and simulation during presentations. - Drive customer interactions, prototype, and initial production builds to meet stakeholder timelines. - Originate and release final production documentation, detailed with critical dimensions and tolerances required for a functional part, considering manufacturing restrictions. - Manage and direct a project through a product development design team consisting of multiple engineering disciplines. - Manage and coordinate internal activities to meet product development requirements and timelines in support of customer programs. - Set priorities and direction for multiple programs concurrently in development. - Keep work skills current to ensure Laird competitiveness in a dynamic global business environment. - Adhere to quality and safety systems and maintain quality and safety standards.
