Workers Compensation Claims Examiner

Role Description Acrisure is seeking a Workers’ Compensation Claims Examiner. This role is responsible for managing lost time workers’ compensation claims from assignment through resolution while ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant claim handling. The adjuster will: - Investigate claims, evaluate liability and exposure, manage litigation and medical activity, maintain reserves, and support claim resolution strategies. - Be comfortable managing multiple priorities, navigating complex claims issues, and working in a fast-paced environment. This is a fully remote position; however, candidates must reside in the state of Tennessee due to business and compliance requirements. Workers’ compensation claims experience is required for this role. Qualifications - Workers’ compensation claims handling experience required. - Lost time workers’ compensation claims experience beneficial. - Exposure to litigation management and settlement negotiations beneficial. - Must reside in the state of Tennessee. - Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. - Analytical mindset with attention to detail and sound decision-making ability. - Clear verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. - Professional and customer-focused approach when working with clients and claimants. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn new systems. Requirements - High school diploma or equivalent required. - Bachelor’s degree beneficial. - Adjuster licensing beneficial or ability to obtain licensing as required. As a Long-Term Disability Claims Specialist, your primary responsibilities will be: - Assessing eligibility for Long Term Disability benefits. - Reviewing for ongoing medical, vocational, and financial accuracy. This position is full time, Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime or weekends. We offer 3-5 weeks of paid training. The hours of the training will be based on schedule or will be discussed on your first day of employment. Primary Responsibilities: - Providing expertise or general claims support to teams in reviewing, researching, investigating, negotiating, processing, and adjudicating Long Term Disability claims. - Communicating ongoing status and decisions both in writing and verbally. - Authorizing the appropriate payment or referring claims to SME or Manager for validation of adverse or over limit approvals.
