The candidate will plan and conduct (with supervision by project management) tasks such as pilot tests and treatability studies, engineering designs, construction oversight, operation, and maintenance (O&M), and report writing. Responsibilities: • Task management, including planning and implementing investigation and remediation projects, design and implementation, trouble shooting and optimization of remediation engineering projects, budget management, adherence to schedule, quality, client satisfaction, and profitability. • Work as a part of a team to prepare work packages and develop remedial solutions for various government, commercial, and industrial sites for conventional contaminants (fuels, VOCs, metals) as well as emerging contaminants (PFAS, 1,4-Dioxane). • Support project managers and subject matter experts in evaluation of emerging and innovative technologies via research, design and testing of emergent technologies, including PFAS. • Support the development, planning, and implementation of sampling programs for multi-media environmental sampling, addressing impacts to soil, groundwater, sediment, and surface water. • Contribute to proposal efforts by performing increasingly detailed cost estimates to address contaminants at various sites. • Develop technical specifications, scopes and cost estimates to support procurement of subcontractors including environmental remediation contractors, drillers, analytical laboratories, etc., and assist evaluation of bids and pricing. • Perform field inspections and monitoring activities at client sites. • Expectation of obtaining Professional Engineer registrations, if not already held. • Other duties may be assigned as determined appropriate by the supervisor based on level of experience. • Working closely with other engineering disciplines including civil, structural, mechanical/process, and electrical engineering to produce successful projects. • Prepare all work products in accordance with Tetra Tech QA/QC programs and professional engineering standards. • As required provide marketing and business development support to proposal leads. • Other duties may be assigned.
