Responsibilities: We are seeking an experienced Data Librarian to lead a company initiative to organize, govern, migrate, and modernize enterprise data across Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and related collaboration platforms. This role will play a critical part in improving data compliance, discoverability, governance, and AI readiness. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical knowledge of Microsoft 365 collaboration platforms with practical experience in data governance, records management, information architecture, and enterprise content migration. This person will lead projects to identify redundant, outdated, or non-compliant data and develop scalable structures that support enterprise search, AI tools, and knowledge management. The Data Librarian is responsible for organizing, maintaining, and improving the structure, accessibility, quality, and lifecycle management of digital files, project records, SharePoint sites, Microsoft Teams workspaces, and related data repositories. This role supports project teams, technical staff, managers, and administrative personnel by creating logical file structures, maintaining consistent naming conventions, improving metadata practices, reducing duplication, and helping teams quickly find the information they need. The position serves as a bridge between operations, project delivery, knowledge management, and IT. The Data Librarian helps establish practical information management standards that support collaboration, compliance, record retention, project closeout, and long-term knowledge reuse. Key Responsibilities• Develop, maintain, and improve SharePoint document libraries, site structures, folders, metadata fields, views, permissions, and navigation. • Organize Microsoft Teams channels and associated file libraries to support project delivery, internal collaboration, technical workgroups, and administrative functions. • Help standardize how Teams and SharePoint sites are created, named, organized, archived, and retired. • Identify redundant, outdated, trivial, or poorly organized content and recommend cleanup or migration actions. • Coordinate with IT or system administrators on permissions, access control, retention policies, storage limits, and site governance. File and Data Management • Create and maintain file naming conventions, folder structures, tagging standards, document types, and metadata schemas.• Support migration of files from network drives, local storage, legacy repositories, or ad hoc Teams locations into approved SharePoint structures. • Review file repositories to identify duplicates, obsolete files, missing metadata, unclear ownership, or inconsistent organization. • Assist project teams with organizing active project files, reference materials, deliverables, templates, contracts, reports, meeting records, and closeout documentation. • Maintain logical records management practices so files can be retrieved, audited, transferred, archived, or disposed of appropriately. Governance and Standards • Develop and maintain written standards, guides, checklists, and job aids for file organization, SharePoint use, Teams structure, and data stewardship.• Support implementation of data governance practices, including content ownership, version control, document lifecycle, retention, and access management. • Work with project managers, technical leads, and administrative staff to define repository requirements and information workflows.• Help establish minimum standards for project setup, folder organization, document control, and project closeout. • Monitor compliance with agreed-upon organization standards and provide corrective recommendations when needed. User Support and Training • Provide direct support to staff on where to store files, how to name documents, how to use SharePoint libraries, and how to organize Teams channels.• Create simple training materials, quick reference guides, and onboarding content for new users. • Conduct periodic training or working sessions with project teams to improve data hygiene and file management practices. • Serve as a first point of contact for questions related to file location, repository structure, SharePoint organization, and Teams file practices. Search, Retrieval, and Knowledge Reuse • Improve findability of information through metadata, naming standards, site navigation, indexed content, and search-friendly organization.• Help identify reusable project examples, templates, lessons learned, reports, technical references, and standard operating procedures. • Maintain curated libraries of key documents, project artifacts, forms, templates, and reference materials. • Support knowledge transfer by organizing completed project files and making useful content available for future work. • Quality Control and Continuous Improvement • Perform periodic audits of SharePoint sites, Teams channels, and document libraries. • Track common file management issues and recommend process improvements. • Support cleanup initiatives, repository redesigns, data migration projects, and digital workplace improvement efforts. • Coordinate with business system owners to align file organization with tools such as Microsoft 365, Power BI, GIS platforms, asset management systems, or document control systems when applicable. The salary range for this position is $ 115,000-$140,000/year. Responsibilities: • Task management, including planning and implementing investigation and remediation projects, design and implementation, trouble shooting and optimization of remediation engineering projects, budget management, adherence to schedule, quality, client satisfaction, and profitability. • Work as a part of a team to prepare work packages and develop remedial solutions for various government, commercial, and industrial sites for conventional contaminants (fuels, VOCs, metals) as well as emerging contaminants (PFAS, 1,4-Dioxane). • Support project managers and subject matter experts in evaluation of emerging and innovative technologies via research, design and testing of emergent technologies, including PFAS. • Support the development, planning, and implementation of sampling programs for multi-media environmental sampling, addressing impacts to soil, groundwater, sediment, and surface water. • Contribute to proposal efforts by performing increasingly detailed cost estimates to address contaminants at various sites. • Develop technical specifications, scopes and cost estimates to support procurement of subcontractors including environmental remediation contractors, drillers, analytical laboratories, etc., and assist evaluation of bids and pricing. • Perform field inspections and monitoring activities at client sites. • Expectation of obtaining Professional Engineer registrations, if not already held. • Other duties may be assigned as determined appropriate by the supervisor based on level of experience. • Working closely with other engineering disciplines including civil, structural, mechanical/process, and electrical engineering to produce successful projects. • Prepare all work products in accordance with Tetra Tech QA/QC programs and professional engineering standards. • As required provide marketing and business development support to proposal leads. • Other duties may be assigned.
