Role Description tonies® US is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Head of Sales, Canada who can define growth and establish tonies® as a leader for kids audio in Canada. This position will be based in Toronto, Canada, and will be responsible for managing the growth of the Canadian business, working closely with our Distributor in the market to monitor sales and operations, and driving tonies® successful brand presentation in Canada. - Develop and implement a comprehensive market entry and expansion strategy. - Analyze market trends, competition, and consumer behavior. - Establish short- and long-term business plans for the expansion in Canada. - Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports. - Oversee day-to-day operation, driving efficiency, success, and a profitable partnership with our local distribution partner. - Grow our omnichannel sales footprint. - Grow and foster tonies® brand image and values in Canada. - Product Localization: Work with the product development team so that the tonies® ecosystem meets the specific needs and preferences of the Canadian market. This could involve language localization, adapting to cultural nuances, and compliance with local safety standards and regulations. Qualifications - A proven track record in a leadership role, with a preference for experience in the consumer goods or toy industry in the Canadian market. - Demonstrated experience running a business through brokerages / vendors of record. - A business mindset with a strong sense of building a brand in a new market, ideally underlined by an MBA, including financial management and budgeting skills. - Being adaptable and resilient, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. - Understanding and appreciation of Canadian culture and business practices. - Analytical mindset and strategic planning capabilities. - Ideally, fluency in English and French.
