Role Description Responsible for collecting and managing account payments. Responsible for submitting claims and following up with insurance companies for payment fulfillment. The reimbursement coordinator II non-Medicare is responsible for completing assigned projects and providing training as requested. This position is eligible for 100% remote but the employee must reside in a state where Enhabit currently operates: AK, AL, AR, AZ, CO, CT, FL, GA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, MO, MS, MT, NC, NM, NV, OH, OK, OR, PA, RI, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WY. Responsibilities - Complete billing tasks daily; ensure minimal write off of reimbursement dollars. - Monitor and maintain assigned accounts with a higher productivity expectation. - Collect all the necessary information to prepare insurance claims. - Submit clean claims timely and appropriately to various insurance companies; complete submissions electronically or by paper according to payor guidelines. - Research, correct, and resubmit rejected and denied claims. - Prepares appeals to denied claims. - Maintain communications with branch staff for assigned accounts; contact the various positions that are holding the issues. - Maintain communications with branch leadership for assigned accounts; ensure branch leaders are aware of claims status and the success of team members. - Answer questions timely and accurately; from patients, branch staff, and insurance companies. - Assist with training of new team members. - Provide assistance with escalated questions from other team members. - Address and respond to emails that come into the teams inbox. - Assist with special projects as assigned. Qualifications - Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. - Must have two years demonstrated experience with Medicare or related billing functions. - Must have demonstrated experience in planning and presenting trainings, individual or large group settings. - Must have demonstrated experience in project management. - For internal applicants, must have met the aging and cash collections goal, as set by the director, for at least nine months in each of the previous two consecutive years. - Must have consistently maintained an average of 9%-16% of the billing and collections. - Required to have and maintain a valid state driver license in the current state of residence. - Required to have and maintain automobile liability insurance, as required by law. - Experience within Home Health & Hospice billing and collections is highly preferred. - Oral communication, written communication, fluency in English, active listening. - Demontrated intermediate technology skills, especially Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel. - Other than for designated full-time remote positions, in-office attendance is essential in order to achieve Enhabit objectives. • Identify issues and work with customers, attorneys, and lenders in an advisory capacity to resolve issues impacting title insurability prior to closing. • Communicate with clients and third parties to obtain documentation to clear title related issues such as missing information, incomplete, inaccurate, or contradictory information contained in the title commitment, in accordance with internal and external policies and regulations. • Examine all classes of title searches including difficult title orders such as insurance of commercial leaseholds, trust indentures, contracts, operating agreements, and other highly involved property interests. • Act in an advisory capacity; decisions regularly involve resolving unique and complex situations. • Reconcile title problems and accept responsibility for loss claim investigation. • Analyze records, such as mortgages, liens, judgments, easements, vital statistics, plat and map books, and property surveys to determine ownership and legal restrictions and to verify legal description of property and completeness of records. • Analyze the effect of probate, foreclosures, building court cases, and bankruptcy proceedings on title insurance. • Review and approve a variety of documentation including deeds, operating agreements, trusts, wills, affidavits of heirships, corporate resolutions, partnership agreements, and state filed Articles of Incorporation and Articles of Organization. • Select appropriate write-ups for commitments and policies for both standard and extended coverage. • Form and maintain business partnerships with clientele. • Participate in business development activities to maintain existing clients and acquire new clients and attend customer visits with sales personnel and/or provide formal training/classes. • Use technical bulletins and other resources to evaluate and resolve problems. • May price commitments, endorsements, policies and guarantees using predetermined schedule of fees and charges. • Consult with attorneys to review search packages and on matters that require escalation. • May provide underwriting interpretation within established guidelines.
