Role Description We currently have an opening for a full-time Medical Science Liaison. This is a remote position based in North Carolina. Reporting to the Associate Director of Medical Affairs, the Medical Science Liaison (MSL) will serve as a therapeutic and disease expert who develops and cultivates on-going professional relationships with healthcare practitioners to help achieve positive health outcomes for patients. - Develop professional relationships with clinical consultants and national/regional thought leaders to ensure communication of medical and scientific information on ALK products and therapeutic areas of interest. - Conduct peer to peer scientific discussions and maintain a reliable presence with identified thought leaders to ensure they have a medical contact within ALK. - Assist with the medical and scientific training of field and support staff. - Assist the Company brand and messaging by providing expert guidance on marketing materials and other strategic programs. - Attend scientific and medical meetings and support development of post-meeting deliverables. - When needed, serve as a resource for the identification of potential investigators for clinical research. - Travel requirement is 50%. Qualifications - A Masters degree with PA or NP, PharmD, PhD, or DNP certification. - Biopharmaceutical experience with a minimum of 2 years’ experience and proven therapeutic competence in the disease area; capable of conducting advanced degree level discussions with key customers. - Field-based clinical or research experience related to respiratory disease or allergy. - Excellent interpersonal, communication, and networking skills. - A thorough understanding of the FDA, OIG, HIPPA and other ethical guidelines relevant to the pharmaceutical industry. - Strong customer focus. - Business and market knowledge. - Demonstrated record of scientific/medical publication (preferred).
