As a Global Employee Relations Manager, you will play a critical role in determining, managing, and upholding our global ER standards. You will work to ensure our culture is supported through consistent practices across all international jurisdictions. In this role, you will operate with a high degree of autonomy as a key partner to our People Business Partners (PBPs) and leaders, ensuring that as we scale into new markets, we do so with consistency, integrity, and legal precision. This is a high-impact role for a professional who thrives on operationalizing global standards and resolving complex workplace issues. Key Responsibilities - ER Standardization & Execution: Lead the implementation and management of employee relations workflows to ensure a consistent, scalable framework that reinforces our high-performance culture across different regions. - Case Management: Manage the end-to-end process for investigations and performance cases, providing specialized support to People Business Partners (PBPs) to ensure consistent outcomes. - Labor Law Compliance: Maintain a deep understanding of labor laws in our expanding key operating regions, including UK grievance/disciplinary procedures, EMEA Works Councils, and California-specific regulations. - Expansion Support: Assist with the company’s growth into new markets by applying ER and labor law expertise to localized needs. - Data & Insights: Utilize ER data to identify trends and derive insights, proactively seeing around corners to address potential issues before they escalate. - Leader Enablement: Collaborate with the L&D team to deliver training to managers on ER best practices, managing performance concerns, and local compliance requirements. Qualifications - Proven experience managing employee relations on a global scale, with a strong grasp of international labor laws. - Strong experience conducting investigations with a high degree of empathy, objectivity, and discretion. - Familiarity with US, EMEA, and APAC labor law, including UK-specific grievance/disciplinary procedures and experience navigating consultation processes (e.g., Works Councils in EMEA). - Ability to navigate complex, ambiguous situations by balancing legal risks with cultural impact, consistently making objective decisions that uphold our high-performance standards. - Ability to translate complex legal requirements into actionable advice, and comfortable delivering difficult news or coaching senior leaders through sensitive issues. - Experience working within a fast-growing SaaS or tech company.
