• Design and maintain a scalable data model integrating product usage and telemetry data, customer success and support signals, and revenue data such as ARR, MRR, renewals, and pipeline • Align and normalize data across systems, including Salesforce, product systems, and support tools • Build clean, reusable datasets for analytics and BI • Define and standardize core SaaS metrics, including Net Revenue Retention (NRR), Gross Revenue Retention (GRR), expansion, contraction, churn, renewal forecasting, and pipeline coverage • Partner with Customer Success, Revenue Operations, Sales, and Finance teams to drive revenue insights • Build models to forecast usage and revenue growth, predict expansion likelihood, and identify churn and saturation risk • Apply statistical and analytical techniques such as time-series modeling, cohort analysis, regression, and probability modeling • Design dashboards in Tableau that connect product usage to revenue outcomes, surface expansion-ready and at-risk accounts, and provide visibility into renewal pipeline and performance • Ensure consistency through centralized metric definitions and SQL logic

• Support the availability and durability of critical services across production environments. • Monitor service health using SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets, and escalate issues when thresholds are at risk. • Participate in on-call rotations, incident response, and post-incident reviews to drive service improvements. • Follow established ITIL/OSS processes (incident, change, problem, and capacity management). • Develop automation for common operational tasks, reducing manual intervention and toil. • Contribute to monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Catchpoint,ELK). • Work with CI/CD pipelines, configuration management, and infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins). • Write scripts (Bash, Python, Go, etc.) to improve system reliability and efficiency. • Partner with engineering, product, and operations teams to support resilient system design and operations. • Assist in capacity planning and disaster recovery exercises. • Work with vendors and service providers to troubleshoot service issues and track SLA performance. • Document systems, share learnings, and help grow a reliability-minded engineering culture. • Contribute to playbooks, runbooks, and operational documentation. • Identify recurring issues and propose long-term improvements. • Promote reliability-focused practices within development and operations teams.

• Own and operate Backblaze’s next-generation billing platform and product telemetry instrumentation for our B2 Object Storage product. • Build and evolve a state-of-the-art billing system, supporting usage-based, subscription, and hybrid billing models. • Design and implement APIs, data pipelines, and event-driven workflows that connect our billing platform to payments, tax, ERP, CRM, and data warehouse systems. • Instrument services, develop metrics, and define meaningful SLIs/SLOs to drive reliability improvements across the platform. • Implement customer-facing product telemetry features for B2 Object Storage • Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to clear, well-reasoned design documents. • Write high-quality, well-tested server-side code in a distributed systems environment.

• Design and implement a scalable deal desk process covering standard, non-standard, and enterprise deal structures • Build and enforce an approval authority matrix in coordination with Legal, Finance, and Sales leadership • Own all order form templates; manage version control and field-level standards in Salesforce/CPQ • Create and maintain deal desk SLAs, escalation paths, and exception handling documentation • Ensure accurate opportunity data (product, pricing, terms, start/end dates) is captured before close • Partner with Finance on revenue recognition inputs, billings data quality, and bookings attainment reporting • Own the handoff protocol between Sales close and Finance/Billing, reducing rework and booking errors • Work with SalesOps and RevOps systems to improve automation across deal intake and close workflows • Calculate, validate, and distribute all commission and incentive payouts on a monthly/quarterly cadence • Manage commission tool (e.g., Spiff); maintain plan configurations and employee lifecycle changes • Finalize commission data for payroll processing; maintain SOX-compliant controls • Investigate and resolve disputes in a documented, timely manner; report trends to leadership • Support annual incentive plan design alongside Finance, Sales, and HR • Provide data-backed recommendations on compensation structures and deal economics • Act as a trusted partner to Sales, Finance, Legal, and Payroll — bridging deal structure and sales reward • Build and maintain comprehensive process documentation across both functions
