JOB MISSION: This position is designed to shape the global direction for running by building product and franchise architecture, and ensuring New Balance resonates with runners in ways that drive both performance credibility and cultural relevance. MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES: - Establish and communicate the end-to-end Global Running Product Creation Strategy and partner cross-functionally to define and set multi-speed GTM and Operating Model to maximize and monetize brand momentum in the running category - Define Global Running Product organization to support the strategy and operating model - Create the running culture calendar and identify opportunities to position New Balance at the intersection of running, sport, and culture - Partner with global and regional merchandising leads on business and revenue plans along with forecasts specific to running products - Partner with the GTM, sourcing, production, and planning team to operationalize the global sourcing footprint for running and align on key strategic relationships - Establish running-specific fabric platform, technical blocks, visual language, and product architecture and deliver structural economics to build long term profitable growth - Embed robust consumer testing throughout the process to maximize success of running products REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS: - Have 15+ years of experience developing and executing merchandising and product strategies in a global or direct to consumer apparel or footwear business, with a strong focus on running. Experience with technical running product development and deep understanding of the running community are highly beneficial. - Have a passion for understanding the customer, market and competitive trends as a means of identifying the right product at the right price - Demonstrate the ability to balance creative and analytical thinking, intuition and data, to build a compelling and consumer centric product - Ability to to work in creative & executional partnership with the Performance Running Footwear GBU - Possess excellent judgment and the ability to act decisively in situations requiring quick but thorough analysis and decision-making, while understanding when and how to appropriately escalate issues - Have strong leadership skills with a proven ability to influence your peers and an organization, as well as to inspire and motivate a team to constantly raise our collective bar Boston, MA Headquarters - (NB) Only Pay Range: $199,100.00 - $258,600.00 - $318,000.00 Annual (actual base pay varying based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, internal equity, geographic location, and more.) Role Description Provides subject matter expertise and leadership for health plan provider network complex contracting activities. Supports network strategy and development with respect to adequacy, financial performance and operational performance. Responsible for negotiating agreements, including value-based payment methodology, with complex provider groups that are strategically critical to plan success, including but not limited to: hospitals, independent physician associations (IPAs), and behavioral health organizations. - Negotiates contracts and letters of agreement with the complex provider community to secure high quality, cost-effective and marketable plan providers. - Contracts/re-contracts with large-scale entities involving custom reimbursement; executes standardized alternative payment model (APM) contracts; issues escalations, and supports network adequacy, joint operating committees (JOCs), and delegation oversight. - Execution, management, and optimization of value-based contracts and enhanced provider relationship management. - Directs analysis of financial impact of deal terms and prepare details and justification for executive approval for agreements outside of Molina approval guidelines. - In conjunction with contracting leadership, negotiates complex provider contracts including high-priority physician group and facility contracts using preferred, acceptable, discouraged, unacceptable (PADU) guidelines (emphasis on number or percentage of membership in value-based relationship contracts). - Develops and maintains provider contracts in contract management software. - Targets and recruits additional providers to reduce member access grievances. - Engages targeted contracted providers in renegotiation of rates and/or language; assists with cost-control strategies that positively impact the medical cost ratio (MCR) within each region. - Advises network contracting team members on negotiation of individual provider and routine ancillary contracts. - Maintains contractual relationships with significant/highly visible providers. - Evaluates provider network and implement strategic plans with the goal of meeting Molina’s network adequacy standards. - Assesses contract language for compliance with corporate standards and regulatory requirements and review revised language with assigned corporate attorney. - Participates in fee schedule determinations including development of new reimbursement models; seeks input on new reimbursement models from corporate network leadership, legal and senior level engagement as required. - Educates internal customers on provider contracts. - Clearly and professionally communicates contract terms, payment structures, and reimbursement rates to physician, hospital and ancillary providers. - Participates with the leadership team and other committees to address the strategic goals of the department and organization. - Participates in contracting-related special projects as directed. - Provides training, mentoring and support to new and existing contracting team members. - Travels regularly throughout designated regions to meet targeted needs.
