Role Description We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented PLM Analyst with a focus on PTC Windchill and Oracle databases. This role is for an individual ready to take on significant responsibility in supporting our product lifecycle management system. You will be responsible for translating complex business needs into effective technical solutions, with a primary focus on the coordination and technical oversight of outside contractors. You'll ensure our Windchill system optimally supports evolving business processes and robust data management, leveraging your understanding of its Oracle database foundation. Responsibilities - Requirements Gathering & Documentation: Assist in gathering business requirements from various departments (engineering, manufacturing, quality) and translating them into clear, detailed specifications for PLM solutions. - System Configuration Support: Support the configuration of PLM by assisting with object types, attributes, lifecycles, workflows, and access control policies. - User Support & Training Leadership: Provide second-level support to PLM, CAD and Simulation end-users, diagnose and resolve complex issues, and take ownership of developing and delivering comprehensive user training programs. Understand when to escalate issues to BISSELL IT when needed. - Documentation & Knowledge Management: Develop and maintain documentation for PLM and CAD configurations, custom developments, and user guides. - Process Analysis Support: Help identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements within the Windchill environment. - Testing & Validation: Participate in developing and executing test plans for new functionalities, configurations, and bug fixes to ensure solutions meet business requirements. - Contractor Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for external technical contractors working on customizations, developments, and integrations. This includes communicating requirements, reviewing technical designs, and ensuring deliverables meet specifications and timelines. - Technical Oversight (with Contractor): Assist in reviewing and understanding custom solutions, extensions, and integrations for PLM developed by contractors, primarily using Java, JSP, and APIs. - Database Interaction Support: Work with Oracle databases to support data extraction, basic manipulation, and reporting, in coordination with technical contractors for more complex SQL tasks. - Reporting & Data Integrity: Assist in the development and validation of custom reports and dashboards, collaborating with contractors to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and meaningful insights from data. - Integration Support: Support the maintenance of integrations between PLM and other enterprise systems, working closely with contractors on development and troubleshooting. - Performance Monitoring Assistance: Help monitor PLM system performance and report potential issues to technical contractors for resolution. - Version Control & Deployment Support: Establish best practices in managing code versions and deployment processes, in collaboration with contractors. - May be required to perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications - Degree minimum: Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience - Specific concentration: Engineering, IT Systems, or Computer Science - Experience level: 3-5 years of professional experience with a strong focus on PLM systems. This includes hands-on experience with PLM software configuration, implementation, and support. Requirements - SPECIALIZED TRAINING/EDUCATION PREFERRED: - 1 to 3 years experience using PTC Suite of products or other PLM systems. - 1 to 3 years experience with maintaining and/or integrating Engineering software systems. - 1 to 3 years of experience with Application Development using Python, Java, Node.JS, or equivalent. - 1 to 3 years of experience with Oracle, SQL, or equivalent databases. - 1+ years of experience with APIs, API Gateways, and Integration management. - 1+ years of experience with DevOps. - 1+ years of experience with Git, GitHub etc. Skills Required - Consumer durable goods or Consumer Electronics industry experience - PLM Experience - Knowledge of Windchill architecture - Simulation or other Engineering software maintenance or integration - Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and web services (SOAP, REST) - Experience troubleshooting application issues - Strong exposure to collaborative engineering methodologies (e.g., agile, code reviews, etc.) - Network connectivity - Desktop Support skills - Microsoft Office
