Role Description Our client, a leader in the global healthcare sector, is seeking an experienced Direct Procurement Deployment Lead, responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing the rollout of direct procurement processes and new ways of working across business units and regions as part of a global S/4HANA implementation. This role focuses on ensuring the seamless deployment of the Req-to-PO (Req2PO) process for inventory-managed materials, maintaining supply continuity while driving the transition from legacy systems to S/4HANA. The role acts as a key bridge between global process design and local site implementation. This is a remote, contract position, working the Client's preferred CET timezone. This engagement runs through the end of 2026, with likelihood of extension through all of 2027. Fluency in German (speaking/written) is required for this role. There is the possibility of occasional travel up to 15% to the Client's headquarters. - Develop and execute deployment plans, including scope, timelines, resources, and risk mitigation strategies - Translate global process designs into SAP S/4HANA system configurations and site-level implementation plans - Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful rollout across regions within the SAP environment - Act as the functional lead for SAP S/4HANA (MM/PP) within the Direct Procurement workstream - Ensure accurate configuration and deployment of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes in SAP for inventory-managed materials - Bridge the gap between business requirements and SAP system functionality, ensuring alignment with global design - Support legacy system transition to SAP S/4HANA, ensuring data integrity and process continuity - Track progress against project milestones and proactively manage risks and blockers - Own the SAP defect management lifecycle during SIT/UAT phases, ensuring timely resolution - Coordinate with IT and System Integrators to resolve SAP-related issues and configuration gaps - Ensure quality delivery and system readiness for go-live - Act as the central point of contact for Direct Procurement (P2P) topics within the SAP transformation program - Lead and orchestrate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for Direct Materials - Support training initiatives focused on SAP S/4HANA processes and transactions Qualifications - 8+ years of experience in Direct Procurement / Material Management - Fluency in German (speaking/written) is required for this role - Proven experience in SAP implementations, preferably S/4HANA - Strong expertise in Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes for direct materials - Hands-on experience with SAP MM/PP modules - Proven experience in Signavio process mapping and process improvement initiatives - Experience in managing testing cycles and defect resolution (Jira, ServiceNow, ALM tools) - Exposure to global rollouts and complex organizational environments
