Medical Science Liaison – Rheumatology

AbbVie

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders, investigators, and scientific institutions in rheumatology • Deliver credible scientific presentations on disease areas and AbbVie's pipeline • Support the identification and engagement of external experts for research collaborations, advisory boards, and scientific events • Facilitate the initiation and conduct of AbbVie-sponsored clinical trials in partnership with clinical operations teams • Gather and share field-based medical intelligence — including clinical practice trends, evidence gaps, and competitive landscape insights • Attend relevant scientific congresses and meetings • Support physicians with named patient or compassionate use access requests where applicable • Ensure all activities are conducted in full compliance with local laws, regulations, and AbbVie policies

Job Requirements

  • Advanced degree (MD, PharmD, PhD, or equivalent) in a relevant scientific discipline strongly preferred
  • At least 2 years' experience as an MSL, Clinical Research Associate, or a similar field-based role in the pharmaceutical or medical sector
  • Strong knowledge of clinical research methodology and the pharmaceutical regulatory environment
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a proven track record of building trusted relationships with healthcare professionals
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving ability
  • High standards of scientific integrity and compliance
  • Fluent in English and German
