• Serve as the single technical lead and client-facing advisor across application, data, and reporting initiatives. • Assess Excel-heavy workflows, formulas, workbooks, and reporting bottlenecks to identify inefficiencies and instability. • Define migration paths from Excel-based processes to SQL, centralized reporting layers, and Power BI dashboards. • Evaluate data pipelines, ingestion processes, reporting limitations, and platform constraints and recommend architecture improvements. • Govern and lead one developer working on a live Django/JavaScript application running on Windows Server/IIS. • Migrate code from local storage into a hosted version control system and establish CI/CD practices to replace manual deployments. • Conduct comprehensive code reviews and recommend practical remediation for technical debt. • Implement structured application-level logging, monitoring dashboards, and alerting to replace basic server stat tracking. • Define and deliver SDLC governance, development standards, data retention practices, and developer onboarding documentation. • Deliver a practical roadmap with quick wins, execution priorities, and longer-term modernization opportunities. • Lead and coordinate nearshore or distributed resources, assign task-level work, and ensure delivery aligns with business priorities. • Act as an escalation point and technical translator for leadership, balancing hands-on delivery with advisory responsibilities. • Identify opportunities for automation, AI, and RPA to improve future-phase scalability.

• Working within an Agile Development team developing new features across our Suite of products. • Working with Product Managers, Business Analysts and Test Engineers to ensure features are delivered to a high standard. • Working closely with Team Leader, Senior Developers and R&D department to build a well-architected solution. • Contributing to work on the Sprint backlog, reviewing user stories and estimates to understand the desired outcomes. • Ensuring the codebase is well understood and documented. • Contributing to the Development Team’s working practices and technology decisions. • Working independently whilst managing time and priorities of the workload.

• Apply current, standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria to complete engineering tasks, and support other civil and structural design workflows as necessary on a case-by-case basis. • Works closely with and provides guidance to junior engineers. • Utilize advanced 2D modeling software such as HEC-RAS 2D, FLO-2D, and InfoWorks ICM to perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses. • Conduct sediment transport analyses and scour calculations to ensure the integrity and sustainability of renewable energy projects. • Develops plans, specifications, and observation reports that are complete, accurate and in accordance with sound industry engineering practices. • Is technically involved with the resolution of design challenges that may include performing field investigation or observations and when necessary, resolving discrepancies between multiple sources of information. • Performs design and reviews of computations and calculations related to the stormwater management design of renewable projects. • Maintains a value engineering mindset throughout development, design, and construction. • Works closely with business and engineering staff across multiple markets and technical disciplines. • Works closely with clients to understand nuanced technical needs and identify the best feasible solution(s). • Supports marketing, sales and business development activities within assigned market. • Demonstrates a wide degree of out-of-the-box thinking, creativity, and design ownership.

Role Description We are seeking an experienced Senior Full-Stack Developer with 8+ years of hands-on software development experience, building scalable web applications and cloud-native solutions. You will support a live, feature-complete Studio product in production, with a focus on maintenance, new feature delivery, and incremental backend API improvements. The role is approximately 70% backend and 30% frontend, working mainly with Node.js, NestJS, Angular, Docker, and Docker Compose. All services are containerised using Docker and deployed on Google Cloud Run via Artifact Registry. You will work within an existing team and codebase, following established engineering patterns and deployment processes. Responsibilities - Maintain and enhance a live, feature-complete production platform. - Build new features across the backend and frontend. - Deliver incremental backend API improvements. - Support the Studio product in production. - Work primarily on backend development, with some frontend contribution. - Independently design and document APIs. - Follow existing codebase patterns and deployment pipelines. - Collaborate within an existing engineering team while self-managing day to day. - Support containerised services deployed through the existing cloud deployment setup. - Use AI-assisted development tools comfortably as part of the engineering workflow. Qualifications - 4+ years of experience with Node.js and/or NestJS. - 3+ years of experience with Angular & 1.5 years with React. - 3+ years of experience with Docker and/or Docker Compose. - 4+ years of experience with REST API design. - 2+ years of experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure. - 2+ years of experience with Swagger and/or API documentation, or strong API discipline. - 1+ year of working experience with AI tools such as Claude, MCP, LLM APIs, or similar. - Mid to Senior level engineering experience. - 4–6 years minimum professional experience, with 8+ years ideal. - Ability to independently design and document APIs. - Ability to work in a mostly independent way while collaborating with an existing team. - Ability to follow established patterns in an existing codebase and deployment pipeline.
