Financial Controller

Role Description We are looking for a highly driven and hands-on Financial Controller to manage end-to-end accounting and tax requirements for Kavak Dubai. This is an offsite role based in Lahore, requiring a self-motivated professional who takes full ownership of deliverables and works independently while coordinating closely with onshore and external stakeholders. The role will focus on maintaining robust books of accounts, ensuring tax and transfer pricing compliance, driving high-quality financial close processes, and acting as a key finance partner to internal and external stakeholders. - Ensure compliance with the UAE tax regulations and coordinate transfer pricing activities in collaboration with external tax advisors. - Support statutory audits, internal audits, and tax assessments, acting as the primary finance point of contact. - Own and manage full-spectrum accounting for Kavak Dubai, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial records. - Maintain separate books of accounts for each function, ensuring clarity, auditability, and compliance. - Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, including GL reviews, accruals, and adjustments. - Prepare and review general ledger entries, balance sheet schedules, and account reconciliations. - Work closely with internal teams (commercial, operations, regional finance) and external stakeholders (auditors, tax consultants, advisors). - Ensure strong financial controls, documentation, and process discipline across accounting operations. Qualifications - 5–10 years of relevant experience in accounting, controllership, or finance roles. - ACCA or CA qualified (Mandatory). - Prior experience supporting international or regional operations is strongly preferred. - Exposure to transfer pricing, statutory audits, and tax compliance. Requirements - Highly self-driven with the ability to work independently in an offsite role. - Strong sense of ownership and accountability for end-to-end deliverables. - Detail-oriented, process-focused, and quality-conscious. - Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, scaling environment.
