Role Description We’re looking for a Sr. Developer - Quality Engineering (focused on Infrastructure and Tools) who is passionate about quality-driven development and excited to help shape the future of digital journalism and media delivery. In this role, you will build and maintain custom tools and solutions to support product and engineering teams across the company by improving quality, reducing pain points, and ensuring our platforms deliver fast, reliable, and trustworthy content to millions of users. While this role is on our Quality Engineering team, this is very much a development-focused role. You’ll be a key player in building services and pipelines using cloud resources, adding observability for other teams (using dashboards, alerting, and more), and scaling our tools as we increase our quality footprint to cover more aspects of our business. - Propose, build, and maintain QE tools that are modular and can be used across many projects. - Collaborate with product, editorial, and engineering teams to assess quality strategies and find solutions to embed quality into every stage of the development lifecycle. - Integrate automated tools and tests into CI/CD pipelines to support rapid deployment cycles and minimize production defects. - Ensure test coverage for critical workflows, including content ingestion, publishing, personalization, and user engagement features. - Champion testability and observability, especially in high-traffic, high-availability environments. - Mentor teams on automation best practices, helping shift testing left and improve developer ownership of quality. - Analyze test results and production metrics to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). - 3+ years of development experience. - Proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript, with exposure to other programming languages (e.g. Python, Java, Ruby). - Experience working with containers and building configuration files (e.g. Docker). - Experience deploying and maintaining serverless projects (using tools like Google Cloud Run/Functions, AWS Lambda, Kubernetes, etc). - Experience working with CI tools and building CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions, Jenkins). - Experience ingesting, storing, organizing, displaying, and analyzing data (with tools like Google Cloud BigQuery, Data Studio, SQL, and Grafana). - Experience architecting or designing multi-step software systems or pipelines (especially using Cloud tools) is a plus. - Exposure to and experience with test automation tools is a plus (e.g., Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, JUnit). - Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset. Role Description - Test Execution: Perform manual and automated tests to test functionality as well as regression testing to identify any glitches or bugs. - Documentation: Create detailed test cases and test plans to track progress. As well as create detailed defect cases should the code not function correctly. - Collaboration: Work with developers to identify, reproduce, and troubleshoot issues. - Quality Standards: Ensure software aligns with company requirements and user expectations. - Regression Testing: Verify that updates and fixes do not introduce new issues. Qualifications - Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of kanban software testing methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, UFT). Also, knowledge of the IBM iSeries, RPG code, DDS, SQL. - Functional Proficiency: Knowledge of the futures industry and GMI software. - Attention to Detail: Ability to spot minor errors in code or user interface. - Communication: Clear written and verbal skills to report defects effectively. - Analytical Thinking: Aptitude for testing from user and unconventional perspectives.

Role Description Design detailed and comprehensive test plans, test artifacts and documenting all phases of SQA process by analyzing System Design Document (SRD) and Business Requirement Document (BRD) for new functionality of software applications. - Prepare test documentation and maintain the standards to meet PMO, quality assurance, security, operations, compliance and control requirements. - Define testing strategy, test data strategy and mentor testing on best practices. - Able to perform different types of testing on different technology platforms. - Perform defect analysis (Root Cause Analysis) and escalate issues as required to ensure further actions and work with developers in all aspects of resolution & verification. - Conduct requirement gathering sessions with key business users and stakeholders as needed to plan on requirement analysis. - Participate in Agile Scrum teams as required to assist with the design, development, and implementation of new features. - Adhere to Security and Privacy controls including HIPAA. - Participate in testing and release management activities in UAT and Production environments. - Capable of working in multiple projects simultaneously by prioritizing the daily work efforts. - Provide required guidance to the quality assurance team and track the deliverables by driving the team effectively. Qualifications - Expertise in software development life cycle (SDLC), software testing life cycle (STLC) and QA methodologies. - Prior experience testing sales compensation systems is a must (healthcare is a plus, but not required). - Prior experience with any sales compensation system. - Proficient knowledge in Agile tracking tools like Rally, JIRA etc. - Strong understanding of analyst/tester role in agile methodology is a must. - Sound knowledge of database and SQL in an oracle environment is preferred. - Experience creating and managing test data is a must. - Experience writing complex queries (Oracle and DB2) to analyze and test multiple data sources.
