Role Description Our client, a mission-driven, one of the fastest growing emerging growth cloud companies and leader in real-time analytics, data warehousing, and data observability, has exclusively engaged Solutus Legal Search to assist its executives in hiring an attorney to serve as Senior Commercial Counsel. Reporting to the Associate General Counsel, this attorney will be an early member of the company’s legal team. This attorney will be responsible for supporting the sales team in reviewing and negotiating customer agreements and providing legal support for revenue-generating activities in the Americas, including LATAM. This role is remote with a strong preference for someone living in the Mountain or Central Time Zone. Responsibilities - Support the go-to-market team by reviewing and negotiating customer contracts, including LATAM. - Lead complex cross-border transactions with sophisticated counterparties across multiple jurisdictions. - Monitor and advise on relevant regulatory, compliance, and legal developments. - Provide training, maintain and update policies and templates, and develop and improve scalable workflows to support and enable the company’s growth. Qualifications - Strong academic credentials and membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar and eligible to practice in your state of residence. - 6-9 years of relevant experience, with strong training at a top-rated national or international law firm. - Law firm and in-house experience at a high-growth technology company is preferred. - Proven experience drafting, negotiating, closing, and advising on complex commercial software and SaaS agreements with enterprise customers, partners, and resellers across multiple jurisdictions. - Strong understanding of commercial legal issues related to SaaS and software licensing, professional services, and other go-to-market programs. - Strong familiarity with agreements governed by California or New York choice of law and legal provisions. - Excellent judgment, strong business orientation, and ability to translate legal risk into practical commercial advice. - Strong interpersonal, communication, and management skills and the ability to build trust with sales teams, cross-functional stakeholders, and customers. - Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-moving, high-growth environment. - Experience supporting a high-growth infrastructure SaaS company is a plus. - Experience supporting LATAM is a plus. Compensation Compensation for this role will vary and will be determined on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, number of years of directly relevant experience, and location. - For candidates in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, and New York City, the target base salary for this position ranges from $250,000 - $275,000, plus equity and a generous benefits package. - The target base salary for this position in all other cities is $225,000 - $250,000, plus equity and a generous benefits package.
