Role Description Plans and arranges the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices. - Provides test area with parameters for sample testing and specifies tests to be performed. - Compiles data and defines changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements. - Responsible for testing all customers' samples and for special tests that cannot be performed in the test area. - Responsible for designing, developing, and implementing cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment. - Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert. - Frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods. - Works on complex problems/projects where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. - Exercises significant independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to determine the best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives. - Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies. - Frequently represents the organization to external customers. - Utilizes computerized electronic test equipment.
