Title: Human Resource Associate Location: Seattle, WA Job Description: The Talent Associate is an integral member of the HR team, and is responsible for administrative and outreach details in support of recruitment efforts. Talent Associates organize, prioritize, coordinate, and deploy key elements of selection processes that receive, screen, test, evaluate, and hire 600 or more employees annually. TALENT ASSOCIATE (HR ASSOCIATE) JOB DUTIES: Applying equity and social justice principles is a daily responsibility and a foundational expectation for all employees. In this role you will apply equity and social justice principles that exemplify shared values, behaviors, and practices to all aspects of the work. You will: Provide support for recruitment and selection activities. Communicate with internal and external applicants in person, over the phone, and via email. Act as liaison between applicants, recruiters, and the agency. Schedule applicants for testing and interviews. Administer applicant skill testing. Coordinate, track, and monitor a variety of HR documents and work requests in electronic and paper format. Conduct detailed background reviews on applicants including criminal conviction histories, employment references, pre-employment physicals and mandated drug and alcohol requisites. Coordinate documentation of the employment process and completion of hiring documents for Division new hires. Use PeopleSoft, Neogov, Word, and Excel to track recruitment activity, create letters, and generate reports. Maintain confidentiality related to human resources issues including employment decisions, selection processes, testing, drug testing results, criminal history records, disciplinary and other complex issues. Ensure compliance with standard employment procedures and completion of personnel documents that comply with Federal, State, County, and Municipal code, Federal DOT regulations, CDL, Title VII, EEOC, ADA, and relevant county policy. Cross-train and back up other team members in assorted duties in support of Transit HR. Attend events and promote employment opportunities. EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS: WE ARE LOOKING FOR CANDIDATES WHO: Have Increasingly responsible administrative support responsibilities in the area of human resources OR any equivalent knowledge, skills, and experience that provide the ability to perform the core competencies of the position. Have demonstrated attention to details and understanding the importance of being exact. Have demonstrated the ability to provide exceptional customer service and clear communication both orally and in writing. Have excellent organizational skills are required to work on a number of projects simultaneously and complete projects within specified deadlines. Have demonstrated the ability to effectively problem solve, apply good judgment and initiative. Have the ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion when handling sensitive information. Have demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse group. Have the ability to create, proofread, edit, and format documents according to standard business writing practices. Have excellent computer skills that include: Word, Excel, and Outlook. WE ARE HIGHLY INTERESTED IN CANDIDATES WHO: Are knowledgeable in human resources employment practices and guidelines. Have experience with test administration practices. Have experience in the use of PeopleSoft or other HRIS systems. Have used Neogov or other electronic applicant tracking systems. Location: Mostly remote. Occasionally come into the office nearby Lumen field. Duration: up to 6 Months 40 hours a week Monday through Friday Pay: $33.63 per hour Must be vaccinated
