Title: Auto Operations Supervisor (Hybrid) Location: Edmeston, New York, 13335, United States Department: Insurance Job Description: The Auto Operations Supervisor prioritizes and settles a variety of claims issues arising from coverage and payment of damages. They provide oversight to the operations team members regarding the quality, experience, fraud and compliance, as it relates to claim settlement practices. They are responsible for the oversight of the quality assurance, EFW, special projects and the claim experience program to prevent compliance issues with regulation and organizational strategy. They formulate mitigation plans that drive performance as it relates to results of compliance reviews. Duties & Responsibilities: - Manage requests for time off for personnel under their supervision. - Complete evaluations, progress reports and personal improvement plans for all personnel under their supervision. - Develop, monitor, and support the completion of goals for personnel. - Handle employee grievances and complaints and participate in employee discipline. - Regularly coach, train and mentor team and communicate feedback on progress and opportunities to assist in goals and objectives. - Conduct regular team meetings. - Participate in the hiring process, interviewing and making hiring recommendations for prospective new employees. - Provide technical guidance and education of claims procedures and regulations. - Interpret and provide insight into regulatory and legislative changes and the impact on current practices. - Assist with the development and execution of short-term and long-term goals and priority projects/initiatives for the auto claims and operations. - Assist in division operations and procedural changes. - Provide technical insight into the areas of training, quality assurance, early fraud warning, and customer experience. - Maintain and further develop claims operations understanding to offer insights for improvement and growth. - Continuously focus on ways to improve leadership and supervisory skills. - Establish and maintain solid working relationships with other divisions. - Analyze findings and collaborate and develop mitigation plans with other divisions to address compliance concerns arising from quality assurance, early fraud warning, and customer experience reviews. - Additional duties as assigned. - Willingness to travel. Requirements: - High School Diploma - 4 years of insurance experience - Leadership skills Skills & Qualifications: - Complete understanding of NYCM and ACIC auto insurance policies, applicable insurance regulations and basic principles of insurance. - Computer literate; proficient key boarding skills. - Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. - Proficient in claim procedures and workflow processes. - Good leadership and supervisor skills. - Good communication and listening skills. - Critical Thinking. - Flexible. - Professional and positive attitude with ability to influence and support change. - Ability to work independently and in a team fostering good working relationships. - Maintain confidentiality. - Problem solving. - Ability to handle stress professionally, calmly, and effectively. - Organized and detail oriented. - Ability to multi-task and prioritize. Market Range: 8 / 40 hours per week / 3 days in office Salary: $56,542- $87,954
