• The DTC Key Account Manager is responsible for the long-term development, profitable growth, collaboration, and life cycle management of targeted hyperscaler & NeoCloud customers within the Data Centers segment. • The role focuses on building trusted relationships, driving specification activities, and ensuring alignment with global strategies to deliver value to both customers and Socomec. • Develop and maintain strong, trusting relationships with US based Neoclouds clients & one hyperscaler. • Establish Socomec as a thought leader within the client base. • Anticipate mid- and long-term customer needs, ensuring satisfaction and implementing corrective actions for at-risk accounts. • Create and execute strategies to fully develop customer relationships. • Demonstrate a client-centric approach, proactively anticipating and acting on business needs. • Consistently meet or exceed established “sales” targets for key accounts. • Define and manage sales budgets for targeted key accounts. • Identify new business opportunities within key accounts, both from Socomec HQ and North American entities. • Prepare accurate and competitive quotes tailored to customer needs. • Successfully manage technical promotions and participate in the customer design cycle. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in the US and HQ France. • Coordinate with the global key account team for alignment on global product launches and international customer strategies. • Integrate feedback from global stakeholders to shape product evolution and customer engagement strategies. • Participate in cross-regional account planning and strategic reviews led by international cluster teams. • Deliver customized sales presentations and marketing materials in collaboration with the Marketing and Global Account teams. • Communicate clearly with customers, prospects, and colleagues at all levels of the organization. • Apply excellent interpersonal skills to develop professional relationships and quickly gain credibility and trust. • Fully utilize CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) to document all customer and prospect interactions. • Submit required reports (expenses, mileage, sales plans, etc.) in a timely manner. • Adhere to all company policies, including health and safety.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 15 years’ experience in Sales, Key Account Management, or Business Development within the electrical market.
- Demonstrated network and prior influential experience in the data center infrastructure business.
- Experience implementing sales strategies and standards for the industrial electrical market.
- International project management experience is a plus.
- Prior success with digital sales or digital selling techniques.
- Excellent presentation, negotiation skills & strong analytical mindset and business acumen for specification activities.
- Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while effectively communicating key performance indicators, goals, and results.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and networking skills.
- Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).
- Strong judgment and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to prepare and manage complex schedules for sales and marketing activities.
- Fully remote role within a home office environment.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly; must maintain a valid passport for international travel.
