Role Description As an Electrical Design / Wiring Harness Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and validation of automotive wiring harness systems using industry-standard CAD and schematic tools. You will apply strong technical knowledge of low and high voltage electrical systems, automotive standards, and packaging principles to deliver high-quality electrical designs while collaborating with global, cross-functional teams. - Ensure the level of performance QCT, OTD, FTR target % in all milestones as per project derivatives. - Execute tasks on Workstation as per work request updated in syncro file on a daily basis at Workspace. - Attend daily management meetings with Design leader to prioritize activities as per workload. - Be responsible for the design of the wiring harness for the Digital mock-up and support the Physical Mock-up. - Follow-up on Design Rule, Regulation Benchmark, workability (assembly check), Assembly sequence, plan de reference, Chain of dimension during activities. - Perform self-checks of work as per internal checklist and conduct peer-to-peer reviews as requested by Design leader or Designer. - Respect the process on day-to-day activities; capture all Input, WIP, and output files in proper folder management. - Record and verify size estimation for earlier work requests. - Determine tasks, estimate associated loads, negotiate priorities by project with the Engineering Leader, and respect the schedule. - Create a circuit and validate the circuit for the full architecture of the vehicle. - Conduct benchmarking studies of competitor vehicles (in the form of circuit level study comparisons). Qualifications - Minimum 3 years of working experience in harness routing using CAD tools (Catia V5) for passenger cars & commercial vehicles (Panel Van, Truck, Bus, etc.) in OEMS/TIER I Suppliers. - Knowledge/working experience in any of Product Data Management tools. - Knowledge of complete vehicle & vehicle architecture. - Knowledge of harness components like connectors, wires, relays, fuses, protections, supports, etc. - Experience in wiring harness & vehicle development programs and DFMEA. - Knowledge in product design and drawings of wiring harness including circuit schematics. - Knowledge of automobile EE functions on high-end vehicles (BCM/EMS/ABS/Airbags).
