Senior React Native Engineer

Role Description You'll own significant surfaces of our React Native app and help set the technical direction as the product scope grows. This is a true senior/staff role: you'll make architecture calls, set patterns others build on, and ship complex features end-to-end. You'll work directly with the founder and core engineers in a small team where decisions move fast and your work is visible from day one. What You'll Work On - Core wallet experience. - Continue refining and extending our existing multi-chain wallet: - send/receive flows - swaps (Jupiter, 1inch, SwapKit) - staking (Marinade, Jito, Lido, Everstake) - liquid staking - DeFi positions - in-house UPAP multi-chain abstraction layer - The agentic layer. - Build out user-defined strategies - Proposed-transaction flows - Automated execution enforced through on-chain and off-chain controls - Push-notification-driven confirmations - Surfaces for users to design and monitor their agents - Multi-chain expansion. - Deepen EVM support - Bring strategy parity across chains - Open architectural questions on the EVM side - TradFi convergence (next-up workstream). - Layer brokerage, banking, and managed investing into the app - Account opening, trading, DCA, managed portfolios, debit card controls - Unified portfolio views that span crypto and TradFi - Cross-cutting systems. - Event-driven architecture across blockchain events, partner webhooks, and push notifications - Unified data layer for portfolio and transaction history - Identity and permissions that preserve self-custody and pseudonymity - Quality, security, and shipping. - App Store submissions - Performance, crash and error monitoring - Discipline in handling user funds Our Stack - Mobile: React Native, Expo, TypeScript, Expo Router - State: Redux Toolkit, redux-persist - Web3: @solana/web3.js, ethers, smart wallets, Bitcoin signer, UPAP (in-house multi-chain abstraction) - Backend & Services: Firebase (auth, Firestore, Crashlytics), REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth, Plaid - Infra & Tooling: Sentry, Mixpanel, OneSignal, EAS Build, Jest, ESLint/Prettier Qualifications - 7–8+ years building and shipping production mobile applications - Significant React Native experience (Expo a strong plus) - Deep TypeScript fluency - Strong fundamentals in async, event-driven architecture, real-time data, and API/webhook/OAuth integration patterns - AI-fluent in your workflow - Product sense — you care how the experience feels, not just whether it works - Self-directed, high-trust operator who owns outcomes in a remote senior role - Comfortable working within regulated, security-sensitive boundaries - US-based strongly preferred Nice to Have - Web3 or crypto experience: Solana especially, plus DeFi, staking, smart wallets, or account abstraction - Experience designing or shipping agentic / rules-based execution systems - Fintech or brokerage API experience (Alpaca, DriveWealth, Plaid, or similar) - SOC 2 or other compliance-conscious environments - Native module work (iOS/Android) for when Expo's managed surface isn't enough - Experience designing or extending in-house abstraction layers across heterogeneous backends How We Work Small senior team, fully remote, fast shipping cadence, high ownership.
