Marketing Proposal Coordinator

• Drive the development and coordination of RFQs, RFPs, SOQs, and interview materials for Texas pursuits. • Manage pursuit schedules, gather content inputs, and organize resumes, project sheets, and graphics. • Ensure that every submission meets solicitation requirements, scoring criteria, and formatting instructions. • Maintain proposal calendars and keep multiple deadlines moving smoothly. • Draft, edit, and format clear, compelling proposal narratives, executive summaries, and technical sections. • Translate technical construction information into client-focused, persuasive messaging. • Maintain and update content libraries, including project descriptions, resumes, and boilerplate text. • Build visually polished proposal layouts using Adobe InDesign. • Create and refine PowerPoint presentations for interviews and client-facing meetings. • Apply brand standards consistently across all materials. • Coordinate supporting visuals such as graphics, maps, charts, and imagery. • Partner closely with Texas Business Development and Operations leaders to gather accurate inputs. • Collaborate with corporate marketing to ensure brand alignment and leverage shared resources. • Support post-submission activities, including interview prep, revisions, and best-and-finals. • Maintain version control and ensure accuracy across all documents. • Track pursuit outcomes and maintain proposal metrics. • Continuously improve templates, tools, and workflows to enhance efficiency and quality.
Job Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in proposal coordination or proposal writing, ideally within construction, engineering, or professional services
- Bachelor's degree in marketing or communications or related (preferred)
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint
- Strong written communication, editing, and message refinement skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines with minimal supervision
- High attention to detail and strong standards for accuracy and presentation
- Strength in visual communication, execution discipline, and cross functional collaboration
- Sound judgment in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
- Experience supporting public sector pursuits (K12, higher education, municipal) (preferred)
- Familiarity with A/E/C or design build environments (preferred)
- Working knowledge of CRM or pursuit tracking tools (preferred)
- Understanding of the Texas market (preferred)

Role Description As a Senior Proposal Manager at Shimmick, you’ll play a key leadership role in advancing our pursuit strategy and proposal execution.
