Role Description We are looking for an Head of SEO to own and build Finch's SEO practice. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who has already earned the right to run a department: a practitioner with strong technical depth, a builder's mindset, and the ability to define direction rather than wait for it. You will set methodology, lead execution on priority accounts, and shape how SEO is delivered across a multi-client agency environment. - Own SEO strategy end-to-end across a portfolio of clients, from audit through execution and reporting - Build and document the SEO practice: define methodology, set quality standards, and create frameworks the team can follow and scale - Lead across all three SEO pillars: technical (crawlability, site architecture, Core Web Vitals, schema), content strategy, and authority/link building - Use tools such as Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog, GA4, and GSC to drive decisions, not just reporting - Communicate SEO strategy and performance clearly to clients and internal leadership - Collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage competing client priorities simultaneously Qualifications - 6+ years of experience in SEO, with at least 2–3 years at a leadership level - Agency-side background is mandatory: you have managed multiple clients with competing priorities simultaneously - Proven track record of owning SEO strategy end-to-end, not executing a task list - Strong command of technical SEO, content strategy, and link building - Proficiency with Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog, GA4, and GSC - Experience building or rebuilding an SEO practice: methodology, standards, and scalable frameworks - Confident, concise communicator who can own client and leadership conversations on SEO - US-based with full remote availability Benefits - Work globally, stay flexible: Join a fully distributed team across the US, LATAM, Europe, and Asia. - Meaningful impact from day one: Your work directly influences client performance outcomes. - A culture built on curiosity, transparency, and ownership: We share context and empower people to make decisions. - High-caliber teammates: Collaborate with specialists across Paid Search, DSP, Creative, Analytics, and Client Success. - Learning as a default: We are building something new, experimentation and growth are part of the job.
