Senior Engineering Manager
Dispensed GlobalDispensed: Your alternative therapy journey to wellness starts here.
About The Role We're currently looking for a Senior Engineering Manager here at Dispensed to join our team. You will lead engineering across multiple teams building the infrastructure that connects patients to healthcare across Australia, New Zealand, and the UK. The work your teams ship has a direct line to patient outcomes: faster access to care, more reliable clinical workflows, and a platform that scales as Dispensed expands into new verticals and markets. This is a role with genuine organisational scope, where you will shape how engineering teams are structured, how people grow, and how the function operates as the company moves from startup to multi-vertical platform. If you want to own something meaningful, influence how a healthcare company is built, and develop the kind of team that others want to be part of, this role offers that in full. What You'll Own - Lead delivery across multiple engineering teams, managing cross-team dependencies, identifying risks before they surface as problems, and giving leadership honest, reliable forecasts of what will ship and when. - Engage directly in technical decisions at the architecture and trade-off level, working with senior and staff engineers to assess approaches, pressure-test estimates, and ensure the right calls are being made even when you are not the one writing the code. - Develop senior engineers toward staff-level contribution and, where you are managing other managers, coach them on the practices and judgement that make people leadership effective over time. - Run structured performance conversations backed by clear evidence, manage performance issues professionally when they arise, and build a team environment where strong engineers choose to stay and grow. - Build and maintain a hiring pipeline for your teams, identify capability gaps before they become blockers, and design team structures that reflect the actual shape of the work rather than just available headcount. - Work alongside product and business stakeholders to shape roadmap and priority decisions, bringing a clear engineering perspective on feasibility, technical risk, and what investment decisions will cost or enable. - Create visibility into your teams' work without requiring leadership to chase for updates, and surface and resolve cross-functional tensions before they slow down delivery. What You’ll Need - 4+ years experience leading multiple engineering teams, including managing Engineering Managers in a scaling environment. - Strong technical grounding with the ability to contribute to architecture and system design decisions. - Track record of delivering complex, cross-team initiatives with clear ownership of outcomes. - Experience developing and building high-performing teams. - Solid judgement in prioritisation, risk management, and balancing short- and long-term trade-offs. - Ability to work effectively with product and business stakeholders to drive aligned decisions. - Clear, concise communicator who creates alignment and visibility across teams. - Comfortable operating in fast-moving, ambiguous environments. Previous experience in a highly regulated industry is preferred. What We Offer - Work From Anywhere in Australia. 🌍 - A competitive salary and awesome benefits package. 💰 - A supportive and positive work environment. 🌟 - Opportunities to grow and develop your career. 📈 - Opportunity to transform lives through alternative medicine. 💡
Role Description As General Manager, you will have full ownership of Alt-Form’s end-to-end performance, reporting directly to the CEO and partnering closely with our CFO on financial performance, cost optimisation, and commercial strategy. You will lead multiple business units - including Wholesale, Supply Chain, and Stock & Procurement - ensuring strong alignment between commercial strategy, operational execution, and regulatory requirements. Acting as the bridge between strategy and execution, you’ll work cross-functionally to drive operational efficiency, unlock growth opportunities, and deliver measurable business outcomes. What You'll Own - Lead & Scale Operations: Oversee the wholesale, supply chain, and procurement teams, ensuring they are structured, resourced, and operating effectively to meet business goals. - Commercial Ownership: Own revenue, margin, and cost performance across Alt-Form, working closely with the CFO to optimise pricing, supplier relationships, and overall unit economics. - Supply Chain & Inventory Excellence: Ensure robust supply chain planning, inventory management, and procurement processes to maintain product availability while optimising working capital. - Strategic Growth: Partner with the CEO and broader leadership team to define and execute Alt-Form’s growth strategy, including expansion of wholesale channels, product portfolio, and market reach. - Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Partnerships, Marketing, Product, Clinical, and Compliance teams to ensure alignment across the full patient and partner journey. - Regulatory & Compliance Oversight: Ensure all operations align with regulatory requirements and industry standards, maintaining a strong focus on quality and risk management. - Team Leadership & Development: Build, mentor, and develop high-performing teams, fostering a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement. Qualifications - You are a strategic operator and people leader who thrives in high-growth environments and brings both commercial acumen and operational depth. Requirements - 5+ years of experience in a senior operations, general management, or commercial leadership role. - Have experience across supply chain, procurement, and/or wholesale in healthcare, pharma, or a regulated industry. - Are highly commercial, with a strong understanding of margins, pricing, and unit economics. - Are comfortable operating both strategically and hands-on in execution. - Have experience building and leading cross-functional teams. - Understand compliance and regulatory considerations in healthcare or adjacent industries. - Communicate confidently with executive stakeholders and can influence across the business. - Are motivated by building something meaningful and improving access to care. Senior Data Analyst
Dispensed GlobalDispensed: Your alternative therapy journey to wellness starts here.
About The Role Dispensed is building telehealth infrastructure across Australia, New Zealand, and the UK, and this role sits at the centre of how the business understands what is working, what is not, and where to go next. As a Senior Data Analyst, you will own complex, multi-market analyses that directly shape clinical protocols, product direction, and commercial strategy, working alongside the people who make those calls. This is not a role where analysis disappears into a dashboard; the expectation is that your work drives decisions, and you will be in the room when those decisions are made. You will also help define what good analytical practice looks like at Dispensed, mentoring colleagues and raising the standard of work across the team. For a strong analyst who wants real ownership over meaningful questions in a domain where the stakes genuinely matter for patients, this is that role. What You'll Own - Lead end-to-end analyses on complex, ambiguous business questions across clinical, commercial, and operational domains, from scoping and data wrangling in BigQuery through to structured outputs that recommend a course of action. - Work directly with senior stakeholders in product, clinical, and commercial teams to understand what they are really trying to decide, push back when the question is being framed in a way that will not produce useful answers, and challenge interpretations when the data does not support them. - Design and review the methodology for A/B tests and pilots before they launch, ensuring experimental design is sound and that results will be interpretable and actionable. - Identify data quality issues or analytical risks mid-project and resolve or escalate them without stalling delivery, keeping multi-stakeholder initiatives on track even as requirements shift. - Mentor junior analysts and data engineers on analytical methods, SQL and BigQuery practices, and how to communicate findings clearly, and take initiative on improving shared team standards and documentation. - Proactively surface the highest-value questions Dispensed should be investing analytical effort in, connect proposed work to strategic priorities across the three markets, and help the team focus on what will have the most impact. - Translate complex findings, including uncertainty, caveats, and what the data cannot answer, into clear outputs for non-technical and senior audiences in high-stakes business discussions. What You’ll Need Required: - 6+ years in data analytics with ownership of end-to-end analyses. - Advanced SQL and experience working with large datasets. - Proven ability to structure and deliver analyses on ambiguous, high-impact problems. - Strong stakeholder management and experience influencing senior audiences. - Experience designing and evaluating experiments (A/B tests, pilots). - Ability to identify and resolve data quality issues and analytical risks. - Clear communication skills, translating complex findings into actionable recommendations. - Strong analytical judgment with a focus on business impact. Highly Valued: - Experience in healthcare or other regulated environments. - Familiarity with product, clinical, or commercial analytics. - Proficiency with Python/R or visualisation tools (e.g. Looker, Tableau). 💡
Staff Software Engineer
Dispensed GlobalDispensed: Your alternative therapy journey to wellness starts here.
About The Role Dispensed is building the infrastructure that lets patients across Australia, New Zealand, and the UK access healthcare that has historically been hard to reach, and the Staff Software Engineer role sits at the centre of that work. At this level, you will set the technical direction for a meaningful slice of the platform, making architectural decisions that will shape how the product scales and how quickly teams can ship. This is not a role where you inherit a fixed system and maintain it; the platform is still being shaped, and you will have a genuine hand in defining what it becomes. If you care about building software that has a direct effect on patient outcomes, and you want the scope and trust to lead that work without needing approval on every trade-off, this role is worth a serious look. What You Will Do - Define and drive the technical architecture across your domain, including decisions on data design, service boundaries, and third-party integrations that will be lived with for years. - Identify systemic risks in the platform before they become production problems, then lead the work to resolve them, whether that means proposing a re-architecture, building shared tooling, or setting a new standard for how teams approach a problem. - Lead complex, cross-team initiatives from ambiguous brief to shipped product, creating clarity on approach, sequencing, and dependencies so that multiple engineers can move in parallel without losing coherence. - Write technical design documents that drive alignment across teams and bring product managers and senior stakeholders into consequential decisions without requiring them to understand every implementation detail. - Actively coach senior engineers on what ownership, quality, and delivery look like at the next level, including honest conversations about where they need to grow. - Bring a commercial lens to technical decisions, weighing infrastructure cost, regulatory exposure, and time-to-market alongside correctness and elegance. - Represent engineering as a business partner in cross-functional discussions, raising systemic issues clearly and pushing conversations toward resolution rather than leaving problems to accumulate. What You’ll Need Required: - 8+ years of software engineering experience, including senior/staff-level ownership. - Proven experience defining and evolving architecture across systems or teams. - Strong full-stack background (Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, or similar). - Experience designing and scaling distributed systems, APIs, and integrations. - Solid cloud and deployment experience (AWS, Vercel, or similar). - Track record of leading cross-team initiatives and driving technical alignment. - Strong engineering judgment balancing quality, speed, and business impact. - Excellent communication skills, including during technical design writing. Highly Valued: - Experience setting technical direction or standards across teams. - Background in regulated environments (e.g. healthcare, fintech). - Experience with platform modernisation (migrations, consolidation). - Understanding of security, patient data privacy, or healthcare systems. 💡
Senior Site Reliability Engineer
Dispensed GlobalDispensed: Your alternative therapy journey to wellness starts here.
About The Role Dispensed delivers prescriptions and clinical consultations to patients across Australia, New Zealand, and the UK, and the reliability of that platform is not an abstract engineering concern: when it degrades, patients lose access to healthcare. As a Senior SRE, you will own the operational health of a platform in active transition, consolidating a legacy Django system into a modern Next.js and Supabase architecture on AWS, and you will have genuine influence over how reliability is designed into that new foundation from the start. This is a role where you will define SLO frameworks, shape observability architecture, and lead the kind of post-incident work that produces lasting systemic change rather than tactical patches. If you want to work at the intersection of serious engineering craft and meaningful patient outcomes, and to build practices that a growing team will rely on for years, this is that role. What You'll Own - Define and maintain SLO and error budget frameworks across multiple services, working directly with product engineers to make reliability expectations concrete and actionable rather than aspirational. - Design and evolve the observability architecture across the platform, ensuring the engineering team has genuine insight into system behaviour during the Django-to-Next.js migration and beyond. - Identify systemic gaps in monitoring, alerting, and incident response before they surface as patient-facing incidents, and drive the work required to close them. - Lead post-incident reviews that go beyond immediate fixes, producing changes to architecture, runbooks, on-call processes, or delivery practices that reduce the likelihood and impact of recurrence. - Write infrastructure-as-code and automation that sets a quality bar for the team, reviewing infrastructure contributions from product engineers and junior SREs with direct, specific feedback. - Keep product engineering teams unblocked on reliability concerns by being a visible, proactive partner in delivery: attending design conversations, raising reliability risks early, and pushing back constructively when decisions create patient risk without a conscious trade-off. - Improve how the team operates on reliability over time, including on-call processes, reliability review checkpoints in the delivery cycle, and the quality of documentation product engineers use to understand what is expected of their services. What You’ll Need Required: - 6+ years in SRE, DevOps, or backend roles with production ownership. - Experience operating and improving reliability of distributed, customer-facing systems. - Strong cloud and infrastructure-as-code experience (AWS, Terraform, or similar). - Hands-on experience with SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets. - Solid observability experience (metrics, logging, tracing). - Experience leading incidents and post-incident reviews that drive systemic change. - Strong scripting/programming skills (e.g. Python, Go, TypeScript). - Ability to identify risks early and influence cross-team engineering decisions. - Clear communication and documentation skills. Highly Valued: - Experience supporting system migrations or major architectural changes. - Experience in regulated or high-availability environments. - Experience improving on-call practices or mentoring engineers. 💡
