Production Underwriter
Amynta Group
• Develop new business, manage assigned agencies, and select advantageous risks • Represent the Amynta Group and meet with identified insurance agencies • Work with the underwriting department to analyze financial risk of applicants • Monitor loss ratios for Carriers and Agents and take corrective action • Regularly make marketing presentations to prospective clients • Manage and develop agent performance and the book of business • Analyze information in insurance applications, supplemental reports, studies, and data
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or 5-7+ years of production underwriting experience or equivalent work experience
- Proven sales results and client service experience
- Knowledge of underwriting philosophy, processes, and practice
- Strong analytical skills and critical thinking skills with great attention to details
- Property & Casualty Agent’s license in residing state, or willingness to obtain CPCU, AU-M, CIC designations a plus
- Willingness & ability to travel for agency visits, industry functions, training and seminars.
