• Partner with the SVP of Market to define key storylines and messaging architecture that support Simbe’s business goals, GTM strategy, and corporate narrative. • Serve as editor-in-chief across corporate and executive communications, ensuring every launch, campaign, announcement, research report, and asset reinforces a consistent company narrative. • Identify and develop new narrative opportunities based on market trends, customer success, competitive dynamics, and emerging technologies, including proactive workforce narratives that elevate retail work. • With crossfunctional partners, translate Simbe’s competitive positioning and category strategy into compelling external narratives across communications programs. • Develop executive communications strategies, messaging, and platforms for company executives, Strategic Advisory Board members, Board members, partners, and customer executives. • Own the company thought leadership content calendar, partnering closely with Product Marketing to distill the editorial calendar into owned and earned thought leadership opportunities. • Partner with the SVP of Market, PR agency, and key executives to maximize executive visibility through speaking engagements, media interviews, podcasts, contributed content, social media, and cross-channel amplification. • Own annual and quarterly communications planning while managing Simbe’s PR agency to ensure programs align with business priorities and GTM objectives. • Lead integrated communications program for company milestones, partnering across the business to maximize impact via earned, owned, executive, customer, investor, advisor, and partner communications. • Guide communications priorities with the PR agency to increase Simbe’s visibility across media, analysts, awards, conferences, and executive platforms. • Expand Simbe’s analyst relations program and strengthen relationships with leading industry analysts. • Support executive media preparation, messaging, and crisis communications as needed. • Own the integrated editorial calendar across earned, owned, executive, and customer communications. • Lead Simbe’s social strategy and customer storytelling program, partnering across Customer Success, Strategy & Scaling, Sales, Product Marketing, Design, and client communications teams. • Partner across marketing to package every major announcement into a reusable communications toolkit that equips commercial and executive teams to activate the stories across earned, owned, and customer-facing channels. • Maintain editorial excellence and consistency across all external communications. • Lead shopper education, influencer engagement, and the Robot Ambassador Program while expanding relationships with retailers, partners, industry associations, and standards organizations to strengthen Simbe’s market leadership. • Manage resourcing for Simbe’s public affairs program, partnering with industry and policy organizations to raise Simbe’s visibility on Capitol Hill and across the US. • Support initiatives that reinforce Simbe’s reputation as the category leader shaping the future of intelligent retail.
Job Requirements
- 10+ years leading corporate communications, executive communications, PR, or content strategy with progressively increasing responsibility.
- Experience building communications programs at a high-growth B2B technology company, preferably in enterprise software, AI, robotics, or a related industry.
- Proven success partnering with executive teams to shape company narratives, executive platforms, product launches, customer announcements, and thought leadership.
- Experience managing PR agencies, analyst relations, media relationships, and cross-functional communications programs.
- Demonstrated business acumen and curiosity, with the ability to quickly understand complex technologies and translate them into compelling market narratives.
- Exceptional writer, editor, and storyteller with the ability to simplify complex technologies for diverse audiences.
- Strong editorial judgment and strategic thinking, connecting individual communications into a cohesive narrative that advances business objectives.
- Executive presence with experience advising senior leaders on messaging, media, presentations, and public speaking.
- Highly organized and collaborative leader who excels at influencing across functions, managing competing priorities, and driving complex initiatives from strategy through execution.

• Develop and execute communications plans for new city launches and policy priorities, aligned to regulatory milestones, operational readiness, permit decisions, contract deadlines, and other outcomes that support Serve’s license to operate. • Lead day-to-day communications execution for policy, public affairs, and market-entry work across priority markets. • Identify and engage local audiences who shape public opinion, including editorial boards, business leaders, accessibility advocates, neighborhood association leaders, academics, and influential local voices. • Build and manage local media strategies and reporter relationships across priority markets, including local, trade, tech, AI, culture, business, mobility, accessibility, and urban policy outlets. • Sequence announcements, validator activity, earned media, and stakeholder engagement to support permit asks, contract announcements, policy milestones, and public affairs campaigns. • Build and manage networks of named third-party validators who can provide credible, on-the-record support in priority markets. • Monitor legislation, regulation, media coverage, and opposition activity that could affect Serve’s license to operate, and recommend communications responses before issues gain momentum. • Partner with Government Relations on federal, state, and city engagements by translating policy and regulatory developments into clear narratives for media, partners, stakeholders, and the public. • Support messaging for testimony, hearings, comment letters, rulemaking processes, regulatory engagement, and other public affairs priorities. • Maintain incident response playbooks and coordinate communications execution during sensitive moments, including rapid response support in partnership with Legal, Operations, Government Relations, and Communications. • Draft holding statements, talking points, Q&A, fact sheets, one-pagers, reactive press materials, and briefing materials for use across markets. • Prepare local general managers, operations leads, partner spokespeople, and executives for media interviews, stakeholder meetings, and public-facing engagements. • Manage inbound media inquiries with sound judgment about when to engage, decline, redirect, or escalate.
