Claim Counsel – EPL/Professional Liability
MDD Forensic Accountants
• Review and interpret EPL, Professional Liability (E&O), BOP, and GL policies, endorsements, and applicable statutes. • Analyze coverage issues including wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, wage and hour exposures, professional negligence, and bodily injury/property damage triggers under GL. • Draft and issue coverage position letters, including reservations of rights and denial letters, ensuring clarity and compliance with legal and regulatory standards. • Evaluate and provide input on coverage forms and policy language as needed by carriers. • Oversee and conduct complex claims investigations involving employment-related allegations, professional services exposures, and occasional GL-related losses. • Analyze liability and damages in matters involving back pay, front pay, emotional distress, punitive damages, and economic loss. • Develop and implement strategic approaches for claim resolution, including oversight of litigation when necessary. • Provide carriers with independent evaluations of claims based on investigation, experience, and input from outside experts and counsel. • Evaluate exposure and make settlement recommendations, including setting and managing reserves within carrier guidelines. • Negotiate settlements within authority limits, balancing legal risk, financial exposure, and business objectives. • Participate in mediations and settlement conferences as required. • Ensure all claims handling complies with Department of Insurance regulations and internal protocols. • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in the claims management system, including coverage analyses and strategic recommendations. • Serve as a trusted advisor to internal teams and carriers on EPL, Professional Liability, and GL-related coverage issues. • Act as the primary coverage and strategy resource in interactions with external counsel, policyholders, and other stakeholders.
Job Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) with active bar membership in good standing, or
- 7–10+ years of senior-level experience handling EPL, Professional Liability, GL, or similar complex liability claims.
- Active adjuster licenses and willingness to obtain and maintain additional licenses, as needed.
- Demonstrated expertise in insurance coverage analysis and policy interpretation.
- Experience issuing or advising on coverage positions, including RORs and denials.
- Strong understanding of liability, damages, and litigation strategy.
- Experience managing high-frequency EPL programs and familiarity with panel counsel management and billing guidelines in EPL matters.
- Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple high-severity, complex claims independently.
- Proficiency with claims management systems and related tools.

Role Description RAYUS Radiology is looking for a General Extender to join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. As a General Extender, you will be responsible for: - Augmenting a physician's ability to provide medical interpretation services to patients. - Assisting in the creation of all Radiology reports, editing reports for accuracy and compliance with the American Health Association (AHA) and American College of Radiology (ACR) Guidelines. - Working directly with radiologists to place radiographic findings into appropriate reports for all modalities of radiology. - Transcribing radiographic dictations into radiographic reports. - Preparing completed reports for distribution to clients. - Managing the work list of patient orders and distributing orders to appropriate radiologists and/or sub-specialty worklist. - Working closely with other General Extenders to achieve the common goal of having all orders read by radiologists within the required turn-around time. This is a full-time position 100% remote within the US, working 40 hours per week, overnight shift 8p-4a EST (weekend rotation and holidays required). Qualifications - Required: Associate's degree in health science, or related field, or the equivalent in applicable work experience. - One (1) year experience as a Medical Transcriptionist or Medical Editor. - One (1) year work experience which required daily use of medical terminology and demonstrated knowledge of human anatomy. - Preferred: Bachelor's degree in healthcare, or related field. - Two (2) years' experience working in Diagnostic Technology, or other related anatomy/medically focused area. • Advise on all things regulatory. Drug development, privacy, corporate compliance, AI guidelines, etc. • Own all things regulatory + compliance that don’t already have a home outside Legal. • Maintain organized digital spreadsheets of everything • Advise on FDA regulatory strategy and classification for all components of the AI platform, including implications for development, commercialization, and IND/NDA/BLA submissions. • Advise on protocol development, site monitoring, data integrity, biomarker qualification, companion diagnostic considerations, the use of real-world data, etc. • Monitor and interpret evolving FDA guidance on AI/ML in drug development and translate into actionable guidance for internal teams • Support direct engagement with the FDA and other agencies on novel questions when warranted, including in global clinical programs • Review external content such as conference publications for regulatory issues • Inform and review tech product specs, system architectures, and data flow designs for regulatory risk before build and deployment • Develop working knowledge of the company’s technical stack — cloud infrastructure, data pipelines, storage systems, and model architecture — sufficient to accurately represent those systems to regulators, partners, and investors • Advise on data governance, data integrity, chain-of-custody, and 21 CFR Part 11 requirements for clinical data across company systems and third-party infrastructure • Track and assess evolving AI regulation (EU AI Act, FDA AI governance frameworks, state laws) for applicability to company activities
