• Understand and interpret client requirements for performance of turbines and related equipment • Determine criteria, loads and boundary conditions for the mechanical design of hydro turbines including supporting calculations and design basis documents • Use knowledge of appropriate and efficient manufacturing processes • Develop quality control and designs inspection & test plans throughout the manufacturing process of the equipment • Attend and witness installation and commissioning of the equipment • Perform field measurements and condition assessment of equipment • Identify deficiencies, perform troubleshooting and options analyses for the remediation of deficiencies • Manage interfaces with end user, suppliers of components, tradespeople and industrial manufacturing engineers • Review commercial contracts for equipment supply & installation • Communicate findings in report and drawing formats • Work collaboratively with Project Engineers and Project Managers to assist in planning, design, CAD drafting and preparation of manufacturing plans, bid documents, technical specifications, and capital cost estimates in connection with a variety of engineering projects

• Bridge the gap between product design and engineering execution by translating high-level product strategy into clean, component-based wireframes • Build functional, high-fidelity interactive code prototypes to validate design concepts with content creators and stakeholders • Write production-ready front-end code, establishing standard styling patterns • Embed deeply within the Nexus and Grove CMS ecosystems, engineering faster, highly efficient publishing workflows • Partner directly with Product Managers, UX Designers, and engineering teams to co-develop functional requirements • Actively participate in NPR's broader design cohort to scale design best practices • Champion intuitive usability for both internal content creators and external public media audiences

• Produce 3D models from concept developed by R&D team. • Ensure designs account for standard manufacturing processes. • Ensure drawings are compliant with company / industry processes and standards. • Monitor (and uphold) the standards of all work produced within the department. • Support the compiling of job packets, ensuring all relevant documentation is present and correct. • Attend design meetings when required. • Management of adherence to company procedures, with particular emphasis in regard to the company health & safety policies. • Maintenance of company procedures and documentation. • Effective updating and maintenance of any appropriate departmental records (if required).

Qualifications - 3+ years of Design Engineering experience is preferred. - Prior experience in the service and installation of audio, video and presentation systems. - Knowledgeable of control systems (Crestron, QSC, Extron, AMX) and DSP platforms (Biamp, QSC, Clearone, BSS). - Ability to prepare, understand, and interpret advanced single-line diagrams, architectural, construction, and electrical drawings. - Knowledge of project financial reports, and the ability to control costs in the design and management of projects is essential. - Ability to read engineering schematics and communicate design intent. - CTS and CTS-D certifications are a plus, but not required with the right experience. Any other industry related certs or training are also a plus (Ex: Crestron, Extron, Biamp, QSC, Shure etc.).
