What You Will be doing: - Provide technical expertise to support the architecture, installation and planning of audio, video and control solutions. - Complete documentation with a high degree of quality and follow Technical Services Standards, including: - CAD drawings (flows, plans, elevations, details) - System descriptions - Equipment research and selection - Custom product design - System integration - Research and analyze the capabilities of available hardware and software options. - Design audiovisual systems of various hardware and software components that work together as one integrated system and that meet customer’s specific needs. - Support projects and our team throughout the implementation process. Qualifications - 3+ years of Design Engineering experience is preferred. - Prior experience in the service and installation of audio, video and presentation systems. - Knowledgeable of control systems (Crestron, QSC, Extron, AMX) and DSP platforms (Biamp, QSC, Clearone, BSS). - Ability to prepare, understand, and interpret advanced single-line diagrams, architectural, construction, and electrical drawings. - Knowledge of project financial reports, and the ability to control costs in the design and management of projects is essential. - Ability to read engineering schematics and communicate design intent. - CTS and CTS-D certifications are a plus, but not required with the right experience. Any other industry related certs or training are also a plus (Ex: Crestron, Extron, Biamp, QSC, Shure etc.). • Work as part of a team of other mechanical engineers or mechanical fitters, often consisting of two engineers across a range of sites • Carry out complex and detailed asset overhauls and replacements • Undertake mechanical repairs and modifications to dewatering equipment, pumps, pipework, valves and other ancillary equipment • Carry out inspections, services and repairs to customers’ dewatering assets machines • Carry out pipework installations using plastic, stainless steel and mild steel materials and other ancillary equipment • Undertake standby cover and overtime as required as well as flexibility to work away from home • Complete test reports, installation certificates and customer feedback documents • Complete customer paperwork such as permits to work and safety paperwork • Work alongside on-site customer teams. Liaise on site with customers as the first point of contact • Lead the maintenance and repair of dewatering equipment and ancillaries on sewage and clean water treatment facilities. • Ensure energy efficient operation of assets, minimise downtime and potential pollution risks by effectively maintaining assets • Help reduce raw material usage on assets by completing thorough service and maintenance tasks using first time fixes

Role Description We are seeking a Mechanical Estimator to join our team in Vestavia Hills, AL or Remote. As a Mechanical Estimator, you will prepare cost estimates for the mechanical discipline and provide business support to senior staff. You'll conduct budget and market estimates, trade reconciliations while utilizing project documentation, industry standards, and current market costs. This full-time role offers the opportunity to demonstrate your potential, collaborate with industry experts, and enjoy a competitive compensation package with comprehensive benefits. - Analyze blueprints and other documents to prepare detailed cost estimates. - Perform accurate quantity takeoffs from available design documents. - Understand union and trade construction cost standards. - Develop final “should cost” estimates to validate trade cost submissions and ensure fair pricing. - Reconcile trade bid submissions with project scope, market conditions, and budget. - Adapt to a fast-paced environment and respond effectively to change. - Source accurate and current pricing data from contractors, suppliers, and databases. - Collaborate with architects and engineers to understand project scope and build strong relationships with A/E firms and project teams. - Support senior staff in identifying efficiency improvements. - Maintain organized project documentation and file structures in accordance with company standards. - Support cost data library. - Prepare cost reconciliations between multiple estimates and explain cost variances. - May need to perform site walks as needed at the client site. - Potential travel at client site. - Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor. - Work involves conventional practices with occasional complex features. - Work within a collaborative group and demonstrate ownership on assignments, making sound technical judgments. - Collaborate with and provide guidance to junior technical staff and assisting with assignments. • Creates detailed AVL system designs for construction and installation using industry-standard CAD platforms that align with customer vision, are innovative in nature, and are efficient in implementation. • Engineer AVL system designs by validating system design concepts, employing both industry best practices and real-world application insights to ensure solutions are functional, technically sound, reliable, and optimized for long-term performance and scalability. • Creates design documentation, including layouts, elevations, schematics, wiring diagrams, details, custom plate designs, and other necessary documents. • Generates installation documentation, including schematics, schedules, and wire pull sheets. • Verifies system design details with the client’s vendors (e.g., architects, engineers), covering aspects such as power, weight, heat loads, elevations, layouts, and infrastructure to confirm the accuracy of project scope, proposals, and parts lists. • Reviews system designs before sending them to internal Summit teams to ensure accuracy, confirm functionality, and validate that the design aligns with customer requirements. • Produces 3D models and performs 3D clash analysis to ensure all technical and construction elements are coordinated. • Produce loudspeaker and acoustic models for design collaboration with the solution architect. • Produce 3D renderings for use in sales environments and customer reviews. • Responsible for the startup, implementation, and commissioning of equipment to the manufacturer's specifications & system function expectations at the Summit HQ and on project sites as determined by project needs. • Provide technical remote support for projects through first use and for the first 30 days after project completion. • Assists the Support team as a resource and technical expert for customers’ warranty ongoing and occasional weekend coverage.
