Director, Performance Marketing - Unannounced ARPG Mobile Game US - United States Scopely is looking for a Director, Performance Marketing to join our Performance Marketing team to support a new, unannounced ARPG mobile game based on a major IP. This role is available on a hybrid basis in Los Angeles, CA, or remotely within the United States. The Performance Marketing team is focused on driving player growth and efficiency across a diverse set of digital marketing channels. With teams across the US and Europe, the team operates in a fast-evolving mobile advertising ecosystem. In this role, you will play a critical part in launching and scaling Scopely’s next major title, shaping user acquisition strategy from pre-launch testing through global scale. The Director, Performance Marketing will lead global performance marketing strategy and execution for a new, unannounced ARPG mobile title based on a major IP. This role is responsible for driving player growth, building scalable acquisition strategies, optimizing multi-million-dollar budgets, and developing a high-performing performance marketing team across global markets. What You Will Do: - You will lead performance marketing efforts for a new, unannounced ARPG title based on a major IP, driving global user growth and building scalable acquisition strategies from pre-launch through live operations. - Own and lead global go-to-market performance marketing strategy and execution for the new title, from pre-launch testing through global scale. - Define and execute user acquisition strategies, methodologies, and processes to achieve growth and efficiency targets. - Partner with Product, Strategic Marketing, Growth, Finance, Analytics, Creative, and Data Engineering teams to align UA strategy with game positioning, audience targeting, lifecycle marketing, and business goals. - Build and scale acquisition programs across key channels, including Meta, Google, TikTok, DSPs, ad networks, and emerging platforms. - Establish and optimize full-funnel measurement frameworks, including KPI definition, attribution strategy, incrementality testing, and LTV modeling. - Drive deep analytical insights into campaign performance, working with Analytics and Data Science to improve forecasting and decision-making. - Build and oversee Scopely’s UA pod in Shanghai, China. - Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of performance marketers, fostering accountability, innovation, experimentation, and continuous improvement. - Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance creative strategy, marketing technology, automation, and fraud prevention systems. - Manage and optimize multi-million-dollar marketing budgets with a focus on ROI and long-term player value. What We’re Looking For: - Fluent in English and Mandarin - Preferred experience working with Chinese gaming studios - Deep understanding of the Performance Marketing best practices on the Chinese gaming market - 8+ years of performance marketing / user acquisition experience, ideally within mobile gaming or consumer apps - 4+ years of people management experience, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams - Proven success managing and scaling multi-million dollar acquisition budgets across multiple channels - Strong experience with major platforms (Meta, Google, TikTok, programmatic networks, etc.) Demonstrated expertise in go-to-market strategy, launch planning, and scaling new products - Deep analytical mindset with experience in attribution, incrementality testing, LTV modeling, and performance forecasting - Track record of driving significant growth through improvements in automation, marketing tech, or data infrastructure - Experience working with global, cross-functional teams across multiple time zones - Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills - Bonus: Experience in Midcore, RPG, Strategy 4x mobile games Bonus Points - Experience working with Chinese gaming studios. - Deep understanding of performance marketing best practices in the Chinese gaming market. - Experience in midcore, RPG, or 4X strategy mobile games.
