Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 3-5 years' experience in troubleshooting and repair
- Exceptional at managing time and able to complete assigned small field projects
- Technically savvy; innovative, quick to learn and adapt to new technology
- Professional demeanor and customer focused.
- Demonstrated professional written and oral communication skills to document detailed reports and communicate effectively with both internal and external customers
- Flexible and open to a fluid schedule and working environment.
- Must pass a criminal background check, drug test, pre-employment physical, and credit check
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential physical functions of the job (see application screening questions for additional details).
- Ability to safely and successfully meet essential qualitative and/or quantitative productivity job standards.
- Must obtain and maintain an Airport ID Badge in compliance with the Airport Security Plan and TSA regulations, and the necessary public trust security clearance (eApp) and be authorized to access and handle Sensitive Security Information (SSI).
- Must have a valid driver's license and dependable transportation, along with the ability to travel up to 10% of the time by plane domestically and internationally and have the required Real ID and Passport (for international travel).

Role Description The Field Service Engineer II for Leica Biosystems is responsible for supporting the needs of our customers, which directly impacts patient health and overall well-being. This position is part of the Service Organization and will work remotely out of Orlando or Jacksonville, FL. You will be a part of the Field Service Team and report to the Regional Field Service Manager responsible for troubleshooting, installation, preventative maintenance, and service repair needs. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: - Provide installation support, maintenance, modification and/or repair on 1-2 groups of mechanical, electromechanical, electronic and/or refrigeration instruments. - Document and complete service administration activities in a timely manner to follow ISO, FDA, and Leica policies. - Actively support the sale of service contracts, assist sales representatives & service team members with system configurations/upgrades, and provide feedback on ways to improve financial performance to generate service revenue. Qualifications - Associate’s degree with 3+ years of field service experience or related field - OR Bachelor’s Degree in Science with 1+ year of experience or related field - OR equivalent military experience (working on any mechanical, technical, laboratory, pneumatic or any related instruments). Requirements - This position requires up to 90% flying and/or driving travel, which includes overnight stays. Role Description The Field Technical Engineer for the Flexibles Division is one of the main technical contacts between the customers’ production teams and TOPPAN. This position is responsible for qualification and technical service activity at assigned accounts. This position works closely with the Account Development team, who are constantly iterating, solving problems, and working together to develop packaging solutions that are cost-effective, product-safety compliant, more sustainable, and satisfy customers’ needs. - Work closely with the Commercial Team and Account Development Team to identify and successfully commercialize flexible packaging opportunities at targeted accounts. - Support customer trials as needed to qualify new flexible packaging structures, drive cost savings, and improve product performance. - Help to translate customer requirements to TOPPAN Technical personnel to build specifications and develop manufacturing instructions for our materials. - Define project success criteria, draw conclusions based on data and experience, make technical recommendations, and manage projects. Projects are often fast-paced and have high visibility. - Provide routine technical service activity by visiting key accounts and spending time on their production floors to build relationships and optimize their processes related to our film use. - Building and maintaining strong operational and maintenance department customer relations, as well as building relationships at all levels of the customer organization. - Respond to customer demands with verbal, written and in-person support when challenges arise for the customer, particularly involving material that has been placed into quarantine by the customer. - Work directly with the customer as needed to determine if acceptable operating conditions can be identified to allow the customer to consume the quarantined material while maintaining standard quality levels for their customers. - Preparing written call reports for all customer visits that are accurate, professional, and informative, and that distinguish between internal confidential information for internal circulation only, and sanitized information that can be shared with the customer as necessary. - Learn all aspects of packaging equipment used by our customers via training by OEM suppliers and industry experts, and by attending trade shows and building relationships with equipment vendors to allow proper support for our customers. - Become the “TOPPAN Expert” for operation and optimization of this packaging equipment. - Travel domestically and internationally to manufacturing plants, suppliers, customers, conferences, and other innovation partners. - Maintain complete and accurate work records and call reports. - This is a progression position and level will be based on candidate experience and business needs. - This is a remote position located in the EST or CST time zone. Qualifications - Knowledge of, or experience on equipment used in food packaging, retail confection, bakery, snack, coffee, frozen food, beverage, hot fill, retort, portion control lidding, perimeter of the store, or personal care markets is a must. - Solid mechanical, hands-on abilities, and an understanding of the interaction of equipment components. - General understanding of the materials used in our flexible packaging products. - 5+ years in Flexible Packaging equipment service or technical support, including maintenance or operation of the equipment used for forming packages. - Knowledge of numerous varieties of equipment is key.
