Network Cabling Project Manager

Role Description We are seeking an experienced and proactive Low Voltage Cabling Project Manager to lead structured cabling projects across multiple sites throughout the United States. This role is responsible for managing the full project lifecycle from planning and design through execution and close-out while ensuring quality installations, financial performance, and high levels of customer satisfaction. - Manage end-to-end low voltage cabling projects, including voice, data, fiber optic, security, and AV systems. - Proficiency with cable testers and network analyzers. - Familiarity with high-density environments and safety regulations (OSHA 30). - Conduct site assessments and develop detailed project scopes, schedules, and budgets. - Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, material vendors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope. - Oversee procurement and logistics for all materials and equipment. - Track project progress, proactively resolve issues, and maintain accurate project documentation according to Insight standards. - Manage all financial aspects of assigned projects, including cost control, revenue recognition forecasting, and gross margin. - Ensure all work complies with industry standards and codes (TIA/EIA, BICSI, NEC) and safety regulations. - Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to field teams and technicians. - Communicate effectively with all project stakeholders and provide consistent project status reports according to Insight standards. - Proficiency with Microsoft Project and MS Office Suite. Qualifications - 10+ years of experience managing low voltage or structured cabling projects. - Excellent working knowledge of cabling standards and installation best practices. - Skilled at reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and technical documentation. - Fundamental knowledge of network infrastructure, including system design, various components involved, and protocols networks rely on. - Very proficient with project management best practices and knowledge areas (PMP/Agile). - Proficiency with Microsoft Project, MS Office Suite, or demonstrated equivalent (Smartsheets). - Excellent leadership skills to manage crews, schedules, and budgets, particularly in data center or construction environments. - Extreme attention to detail in data cabling work. - Willingness to travel up to 50% across the U.S. - Valid driver’s license. Requirements - Required: RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer). - Preferred: PMP (Project Management Professional).
