Field Operations Leader – Grid Systems

• Reporting directly to the GSI NAM Service Leader • Provides strategic oversight of field operations in NAM region • Lead and coordinate field service operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality customer support • Oversee field operation managers, field engineers and technicians • Manage service schedules • Support customer satisfaction and drive operational performance across HVDC, FACTS, ACIS and GIS technologies • Responsible for driving operational excellence, safety, quality, fostering a culture of accountability • Mentor your team to deliver seamless, value-driven service that strengthens long-term customer relationships and business growth • Supervise the field operations group • Manage the field specialists and field engineers, their personal and skill developments • Grow and develop the team • Maintain the field group at the expected level of productivity • Anticipate business development and develop staffing plans to support the growth • Sales and operational planning • Ensure accurate resource loading and capacity planning to meet project demands • Maintain the field activity planning up to date • Filter requests and guarantee stability to the field group • Supervise 24/7 response; Maintain rotation planning • Serve as the primary point of escalation and strategic partner for the client • Build and maintain executive-level relationships to ensure high customer satisfaction • Cross-Functional coordination and collaboration between Project Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams • Proactively promote EHS and maintain field people trained as per legal requirements • Ensure mission risks are properly identified and mitigated • Provide appropriate PPEs to the field specialist
Job Requirements
- 5 years of experience as team manager / Prior field operations experience in Services and operations
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical Engineering or any B.S. degree with related experience
- 5 years of transmission and Distribution substation engineering for utilities and renewable energy power plants
- Field experience in electrical, mechanical, controls and protection disciplines
- Fluent in English and French
- Experience with EHS risk management
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Customer oriented mindset
- Like processes
- Prior GE work experience in GEV GSI group
