Role Description The Senior Solution Consultant provides pre-sales support in the development and presentation of our platform for prospective clients and current customers to address the complex problems that Workiva's platform and solutions solve. This role serves as a trusted advisor supporting the business throughout the sales cycle by connecting customer outcomes to platform capabilities, rapidly iterating on solutions, and guiding customers through technical validation and value-based demonstrations. - Execute pre-sales framework to engage customers, prospects, and partners via virtual and onsite meetings. - Drive the discovery process, lead product demonstrations, and identify areas where Workiva solutions align to address customer/prospect needs. - Demonstrate expertise across Workiva’s Financial Reporting solutions. - Translate the specific needs of the Financial Services industry into Workiva solutions. - Assist sales in developing account plans in support of Workiva strategies and objectives. - Conduct process assessments with customers, build Proof of Concepts to validate requirements, and present partner-specific business cases. - Ensure customer success by working with implementation partners and Workiva Client Services team for smooth onboarding and long-term success. - Assist in developing new use-cases or by using existing templates to provide proof of our solution's impact and value proposition. - May begin to deliver cross-domain coaching, training, or mentoring peers. - Work with Sales, Product Marketing, Client Services, Scoping, and Customer Success to achieve team and company goals. Qualifications - Requires a minimum of 6 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 4 years and a Master’s degree; or 2 years and a PhD. - Financial Services industry knowledge is valuable and will be essential to success in this role. - Candidates should either bring existing expertise in banking, insurance, or asset management, or demonstrate strong aptitude and commitment to rapidly developing deep domain expertise in financial services workflows, regulations, and use cases. Requirements - Experience engaging with and presenting to business or IT managers and executives. - Actuarial reporting experience at an Insurance company. - Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills. - Self-motivated with strong propensity for action, results, and continuous improvement. - Experience building processes from the ground up, including design, proposal, and cross-functional alignment. - Demonstrates proactive collaboration and feedback to product management teams to capture new customer requirements and enhancements. - Ability to solve problems and articulate solutions to business problems with strong communication and presentation skills. - Hands-on technical experience with SaaS solutions, cloud technologies, and architectures preferred. - Experience with high-level technical aspects of connectivity and integration (API). - Capability to gather business needs and present a value-based, compelling software demonstration is preferred.
