Role Description We are seeking a Solution Architect to lead the design and evolution of scalable, secure, and intelligent platforms within the insurance domain. This role sits at the intersection of architecture, AI-assisted engineering, innovation, and business strategy. You will define end-to-end solution architectures, leverage modern AI tools to accelerate engineering productivity, and ensure platforms are resilient, compliant, and future-ready. You will collaborate closely with product, engineering, data, and business teams to translate complex requirements into elegant technical solutions. The ideal candidate brings deep domain expertise in insurance or fintech, a strong architectural mindset, passion for innovation, and hands-on experience integrating AI-assisted development practices into modern platform engineering. What You’ll Do: - Define and own end-to-end solution architecture for insurance platform/solutions - Implement AI-assisted engineering practices to improve development velocity and quality - Define architectural standards, best practices, integration strategies across internal pods/systems and third-party services - Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performing technical solutions - Design API-first, event-driven, and microservices-based integration strategies - Hands-on-build to architectural governance standards, perform design and code reviews, and lead technical decision-making - Build and productionize systems in compliance with regulatory, security, and data governance standards - Partner with engineering team members to guide implementation and resolve complex technical challenges - Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to align architecture with long-term strategic goals - Evaluate and implement emerging technologies to support business and drive innovation Qualifications - Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field - 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with 5+ years in architectural leadership - Proven experience as a Solution/Enterprise Architect in insurance or fintech platforms - Strong expertise in cloud-native architecture (AWS or Azure) - Hands-on experience with AI-assisted engineering tools (e.g., code generation, copilots, automation) - Deep understanding of microservices, APIs, and event-driven architectures - Experience with core domain systems (policy administration, claims, billing, payments, underwriting) - Strong knowledge of security, compliance, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., SOC2, PCI-DSS, GDPR) - Expertise in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code - Solid data architecture experience (real-time processing, data lakes, analytics) - Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills - Ability to align technical solutions with business strategy and outcomes Preferred - Experience implementing AI/ML use cases in insurance or fintech (fraud detection, underwriting, personalization) - Experience working in high-growth startups or scaling organizations - Certifications in cloud platforms or architecture frameworks Benefits - Employees are eligible for an annual incentive bonus designed to reward performance. - The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $135,000-$171,000. - Flexible paid time off for PTO, plus paid holidays, days of Significance, and a Volunteer Day - Paid parental leave eligible after 3 months of service - Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance - 401k with company match - Profit Sharing & Savings Plan - Short-term and long-term disability insurance - Flexible spending account - Life insurance - Educational Assistance - Associate Assistance Programs and more!
