Role Description As a Senior Parabroker, you will bridge the gap between technical credit analysis and end-to-end file management, taking complete ownership of applications from initial assessment through to submission and settlement support. Designed for a commercial thinker who thrives with minimal supervision, this position allows our onshore brokers to focus entirely on growth while you manage the end-to-end technical execution of each loan. Responsibilities - Scenario Analysis: Evaluate complex residential lending scenarios across a diverse range of client portfolios, including PAYG, self-employed, company, trust, and SMSF applications. - Financial Assessment: Review and verify tax returns, financial statements, Business Activity Statements (BAS), payslips, and comprehensive supporting documentation. - Serviceability & Risk Evaluation: Analyze borrowing capacity (servicing), outstanding liabilities, living expenses, and credit histories to identify policy issues, lender risks, and potential submission challenges. - Strategic Lender Recommendations: Research lender policies and liaise with Business Development Managers (BDMs) to recommend the most suitable lenders based on policy compliance, serviceability, and client goals. - Loan Structuring & Summaries: Prepare clear, high-quality credit recommendations and scenario summaries for brokers while assisting with structural design and overall submission strategy. - Quality Assurance: Conduct meticulous pre-submission quality assurance checks, collaborating with the processing team to ensure all files are complete, accurate, and completely submission-ready. Qualifications - Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of dedicated Australian mortgage broking experience, specifically in a Credit Analyst or Senior Broker Support capacity. - Lending Policy Expertise: Deep, current understanding of Australian lending policies and guidelines. - Complex Assessment Skills: Proven experience assessing complex borrower types and structures, including Self-employed applicants, Company & Trust structures, SMSF lending, Refinancing, Investment lending, and Business-purpose lending. - Analytical Thinking: Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to independently identify appropriate lender fit and mitigate policy risks. - Communication & Organization: Exceptional written English communication skills alongside unmatched attention to detail and organizational capabilities. Preferred Skills & Technologies - Brokerage Background: Prior experience working within a fast-paced, high-performing Australian mortgage brokerage. - Industry Systems: Familiarity with the Connective aggregator platform and Mercury CRM. - Analysis Tools: Proficiency with Quickli (or equivalent policy/servicing tools), lender servicing calculators, and various major Australian lender portals. - Collaboration Software: Experience utilizing Microsoft Teams and Outlook for day-to-day team communication.
