Job Description

SAP Payroll Implementation Lead

Strada

• Leader of the LATAM region • Help build a high performing team • Represent the function with senior internal and external stakeholders • Own business planning, budgeting, forecasting, and KPI performance • Drive operational excellence and continuous process improvement • Keep alignment with sales to perform a capacity planning • Lead initiatives, transformation programs, and change management • Act as escalation point for complex or high-impact decisions • Collaborate with clients to capture all payroll requirements and guide them through workshops, configuration steps and systems setup • Validate and configure customer payroll solution and integrations in compliance with legal regulations • Assist and support with data mapping, migration, YTD preparation and accuracy checks • Manage all system testing phases (SIT, UAT, parallel runs, etc.) and address system configuration/integration issues with local and global teams. • Oversee go-live activities ensuring payroll system readiness • Track project progress, documentation, and collaborate with project managers and project team to ensure timely milestone delivery

Job Requirements

  • 8–10+ years of relevant professional experience in management roles.
  • Solid knowledge of local payroll and time regulations in Argentina and proven expertise in payroll system configuration and integrations
  • Hands-on mindset with a willingness to explore and apply innovative solutions
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
  • Excellent communication skills and a client-focused, collaborative mindset
  • Previous experience working on international payroll projects is a plus
  • Ability to work remotely, manage tasks efficiently, and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including clients, global and project teams
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or MBA preferred

Role Description Responsible for supporting country-specific operations by leveraging functional and technical expertise, as well as local market knowledge, to ensure operational teams are fully equipped to meet client deadlines and deliver high-quality service. Key Responsibilities - Support and process payroll from end to end according to the defined standards and client requirements including all associated payroll tasks and transactions. - Ensure that the Payroll calendar is followed, and any deviation is dealt with via the appropriate change control process. - Proactively identify upsell opportunities and support the Change Request process when deviations from the contractually defined standard scope of service are identified. - Understand standard and client specific payroll reports including statutory year end reporting needs as required by the customer contract and scope of service. - Maintain current knowledge of legislation requirements; system updates, changes and overall payroll procedures while managing the payroll legislation road map. - Provide support and guidance for all implementations and go lives, whilst ensuring automation and standards are utilized. - Lead projects designed to improve customer satisfaction and business performance. - Answer payroll related questions and requests from the team and from clients; supporting the Operations Manager with client engagement activities. - Support of the sales life cycle including payroll practices and legislation requirements. - Ensure compliant use of all systems. - Support technical issue coordination and resolution. - Maintain the client solution and provision functional support as needed. - Recommend or participate in innovation activities to drive continuous improvement. - Support project implementations and go-lives. - Upskill and develop colleagues through training delivery and coaching to enable them to fulfill their role. - Contribute to team meetings and raise any issues immediately to your Operations Manager. - Ensure you are up to date with all Strada announcements and communications. Qualifications - 5-8 years relevant experience administering Payroll in an HR consulting, HR Outsourcing or Corporate environment. - Expert knowledge on Dutch payroll processes, practices and associated legislation. - Advanced English skills, Dutch skills would be an asset. - HRIS knowledge: Workday, SAP, or PeopleSoft knowledge preferred. - Payroll certifications, PDL, VPS. - Strong knowledge of the various inputs and outputs such as third-party interfaces, timekeeping, tax filing/compliance, benefits and other key areas that integrate with payroll. - Ability to identify and mitigate risks. - Strong knowledge of MS Office tools such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. - Flexibility to support a global and fast paced environment. - Attention to detail. - Excellent written and verbal skills. - Self-motivated and a willingness to learn. - Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment, as well as independently while adhering to processes and procedures.
