• Serve as a role model for Agency Vision and Values. • Lead copy development and creative thinking across multiple brands, teams, and workstreams. • Translate complex science, clinical data, health economics, access barriers, and payer strategy into clear, compelling, audience-relevant stories. • Develop strong value narratives, payer messaging platforms, AMCP-style communications, access toolkits, field resources, pull-through materials, objection handlers, and launch support assets. • Create communications for commercial and government payers, PBMs, GPOs, IDNs/health systems, employers, specialty pharmacies, hubs, patient support services, and field access audiences. • Partner closely with Strategy, Account, Medical, Market Access, Art, UX, and Client teams to bring integrated ideas to life. • Help shape the strategic and creative direction of market access assignments from brief through execution. • Write, edit, concept, and problem-solve across both high-level messaging and detailed tactical materials. • Bring clarity, simplicity, and creative energy to categories that are often highly technical or complex. • Present work with confidence, connecting creative decisions back to audience needs, strategy, access challenges, and business objectives. • Contribute meaningfully to new business pitches, creative workshops, brand planning, launch planning, and agency initiatives. • Mentor, manage, and develop writers, helping them strengthen their craft, market access fluency, and strategic thinking. • Provide clear direction, constructive feedback, and hands-on support to elevate the work. • Proactively identify opportunities to make market access work more engaging, useful, and differentiated. • Manage workflows, timelines, priorities, staffing needs, and budget considerations ensuring both efficiency and excellence. • Champion the smart use of AI and emerging tools to streamline workflows, accelerate workstreams, and free teams to focus on strategy and craft.
Job Requirements
- 8+ years of copywriting experience at a pharmaceutical advertising agency, healthcare marketing, or market access agency.
- Deep experience writing for market access, payer, reimbursement, access, affordability, patient services, and organized customer audiences.
- Proven ability to translate clinical, economic, and access strategy into clear persuasive communications.
- Strong understanding of the market access landscape, including payer decision-making, value communication, formulary strategy, coverage policy, reimbursement pathways, and access challenges.
- Experience developing Product Information Exchange (PIE) decks, payer value propositions (PVPs), messaging platforms, access toolkits, launch materials, field access resources, pull-through assets, and related communications.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating the ability to balance creativity with precision, compliance, and audience-specific nuance.
- Comfort working across complex brands, therapeutic categories, data sets, and workstreams.
- Experience mentoring writers or providing creative direction to junior and mid-level team members.
