Director, Enterprise Design Systems

• Own and evolve the design system’s architecture • Define and advocate for best practices in collaboration • Guide the transformation of the design system into a technically robust platform • Define and track success metrics for the design system • Set standards for quality, performance, accessibility, and consistency • Oversee comprehensive documentation efforts • Evaluate and drive the adoption of modern design tools • Collaborate actively with Platform Engineering, Product Management, and other stakeholders • Foster a culture of curiosity, experimentation, and learning • Mentor and empower designers and engineers • Establish contribution and governance models and processes

Job Requirements

  • 8+ years in digital product design, front-end engineering, or design systems leadership
  • Demonstrated expertise in accessibility standards and inclusive design
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing enterprise-scale design systems
  • Proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and frameworks (React, Angular)
  • Proven track record in bridging design and code
  • Advanced understanding of emerging design technologies, including generative AI
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with agile, iterative development
  • Prior experience working within Platform Engineering or collaborating with engineering leadership
