Technical Field Representative I – Agriculture

• Execute seasonal product deployment activities safely and accurately. • Install Suterra products according to established procedures. • Coordinate and assist temporary field labor during deployment activities. • Maintain accurate deployment records, product counts, and service documentation. • Utilize mobile applications, GPS, and mapping software to document field activities. • Support seasonal logistics and inventory management. • Assist with field trial setup and maintenance. • Monitor field trials by collecting trap counts, observations, and other required field data. • Collect samples according to established protocols. • Build positive working relationships with growers, distributors, and agricultural partners. • Respond to routine customer questions regarding product installation and service. • Escalate technical or product performance concerns to the appropriate team members. • Participate in technical training and ongoing professional development.
Job Requirements
- Two or more years of experience in agriculture, field operations, crop production, customer service, or a related field OR an associate's or bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Crop Science, Plant Science, Biology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing an assigned territory.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout California.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Crop Science, Plant Science, Biology, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred.
- Internship or field experience in agriculture or agricultural research preferred.
- Experience with California specialty crops preferred.
- Experience using mobile applications, GPS, or field mapping technology preferred.
- Professional fluency in English and Spanish strongly preferred.
