Senior Infrastructure Developer, Optimization Software

• Design, develop, and maintain core infrastructure supporting optimization engines and planning workflows • Improve scalability, reliability, and performance of distributed optimization workloads • Build reusable infrastructure components for model execution, data handling, and solver integration • Analyze performance bottlenecks in optimization pipelines and underlying systems • Optimize compute, memory usage, and data flow for large-scale planning problems • Support solver integration and tuning (e.g., Optimization approaches) • Contribute to evolving platform architecture and hardware • Design systems that support large datasets, parallel execution, and incremental solving • Ensure systems meet enterprise-grade reliability and maintainability standards
Job Requirements
- B.Sc or more in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of experience working with various cloud resources and deployments.
- Public cloud experience (Azure and/or GCP; AWS is a plus), using console and APIs
- Hands-on experience operating Kubernetes (AKS and/or GKE)
- CI/CD and/or GitOps experience (pipelines, GitHub Actions)
- Experience with Docker
- Comfortable working with logging and observability platforms
- Ability to design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for performance testing using testing frameworks and tools.
- Ability to find opportunities to accelerate the SDLC through innovative application of AI or other tooling, while upholding architecture consistency, secure design, and code-quality standards.
- Ability to review AI-generated code rigorously for correctness, architectural fit, integration risk, and edge case support with a growth mindset and bias for experimentation.
- Nice to have experience in commercial solvers (Gurobi, CPLEX,...)
- Nice to have knowledge of Supply Chain Management (Demand Planning, MRP, S&OP, Capacity Planning)

Role Description At Camunda, our CI/CD infrastructure platform is treated as an internal product. As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will be at the core of this transformation: designing, implementing, and running the CI/CD and artifact delivery systems.
