Assistant Finance Manager
Costain Group PLC
• Monthly administration, reconciliation, and reallocation of staff costs, cost reallocation journals, purchase card and telephone costs as well as head office recharges and the timely resolution of other staff cost queries. • Processing monthly cost reports for the Finance Manager for SMT reviews. • Discuss and generate a positive approach to change including implementing improved ways of undertaking tasks. • Investigate and respond to queries from the Finance Manager. • Carry out compliance reviews of financial controls, in line with company guidelines, ensuring that all applicable requirements can always be met. • Continuously adapt and improve management reports. • Other ad hoc duties to support the wider company divisions. • Assist with year-end process and analysis as required.
Job Requirements
- Degree level qualification in a relevant field or substantial experience.
- Relevant qualification (i.e. Chartered Accounting).
- Experience in a finance department.
- Strong written, oral and analytical skills with attention to detail and an ethical approach to data including respecting the confidential nature of information.
- Advanced understanding of Microsoft, specifically excel.
- Self-motivate, reliable and agile individual.
- Honest, resilient and competent individual with high emotional intelligence.
- Ability to assimilate, understand, analyse and present data.
- Ability to solve complex problems under pressure in a calm and rational manager whilst always acting with integrity.
- Can develop and maintain good relationships with internal and external stakeholders of the business at all levels up to the CEO.
- Experience in a similar role.
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI.
- Experience of working with Oracle Enterprise One.
