Role Description Senior Professional Services Veterinarian at Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health USA, Inc. in Ridgefield, CT (Telecommuting permitted: work may be performed in any location in the U.S.) - Management of medical education of veterinary clinics in 6 U.S. states in the Salt Lake District (MT, ID, WY, UT, NM, and CO) on behalf of the company. - Travel to the designated states for in-person education for veterinary practices and for local veterinary organizations. - Responsible for technical acumen of sales force (8 employees) who reside in the designated states. - Act as technical liaison to all U.S. veterinary colleges in the designated states, which involves in-person meetings. - Act as pharmacovigilance, technical marketing, and R&D representative to the designated states. *Telecommuting permitted: work may be performed in any location in the U.S. Work Schedule - 40 hours per week (8:00am to 5:00pm) Qualifications - Doctorate degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Veterinary Medicine. - Five (5) years of experience in veterinary practice. - Four (4) years of experience in small animal clinical practice. - Two (2) years of experience in the animal health industry. Requirements - Experience with presenting technical material to individuals ranging from veterinary assistants to boarded specialty veterinarians, as well as group sizes ranging from 10 to 150 individuals. - Supporting a sales team that sells a broad portfolio of animal health products, including providing training, medical education delivery, adverse event reporting, and case management support. - Project management experience. - Experience in pharmacovigilance or regulatory affairs. - Experience in a corporate animal health environment. - Must obtain a license to practice veterinary medicine in at least one (1) U.S. state within one (1) year of starting employment in the offered role. - 70% domestic travel required to MT, ID, WY, UT, NM, and CO.
