Key Responsibilities - Install, configure, and operate PeopleSoft environments across development, test, training, and production. - Lead PeopleTools upgrades, PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM) image applications, and patch deployments. - Manage application servers, process schedulers, web servers (WebLogic), and the integration broker gateway. - Administer Elasticsearch / OpenSearch (or Verity legacy) deployments supporting PeopleSoft search. - Perform PeopleSoft system copies, refreshes, and clones across environments, applying disciplined engineering practices and partnering closely with stakeholders to ensure outcomes are durable, well-documented, and aligned with broader team and platform standards. - Implement and tune database connectivity, including Oracle Database administration tasks in partnership with DBA teams. - Configure PeopleSoft security at the application, web, and infrastructure layers. - Operate PeopleSoft Cloud Manager or equivalent automation tooling where applicable. - Design and operate HA/DR strategies for PeopleSoft environments, applying disciplined engineering practices and partnering closely with stakeholders to ensure outcomes are durable, well-documented, and aligned with broader team and platform standards. - Develop automation tooling using shell, Python, or Ansible to reduce operational toil. - Monitor system health and performance, leading capacity planning and tuning activities. - Provide hands-on post-go-live and hypercare support, working closely with operations teams to triage incidents quickly, identify root causes, and drive durable fixes that improve long-term system stability. - Maintain comprehensive, current technical documentation — including architecture diagrams, design decisions, configuration references, runbooks, and operational procedures — so that the system remains supportable, auditable, and easy to onboard new engineers onto over time. - Mentor and coach junior and mid-level engineers through code review, design review, pair programming, and structured knowledge sharing, helping the broader team grow in technical maturity and confidence over time. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline. - Five or more years of PeopleSoft PeopleTools administration experience. - Hands-on experience with PeopleTools upgrades and PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM). - Strong experience with WebLogic, Tuxedo, and PeopleSoft application/process scheduler servers. - Experience administering Elasticsearch / OpenSearch in support of PeopleSoft. - Working knowledge of Oracle Database administration. - Strong Linux/Unix skills and shell scripting experience. - Familiarity with PeopleSoft Cloud Manager or equivalent automation tooling. - Experience operating HA/DR for PeopleSoft. - Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
