Full-Service Estimator – Restoration/Reconstruction
Bosun
• Develop accurate estimates for water mitigation, mold remediation, fire/smoke damage, contents cleaning, biohazard, and reconstruction projects. • Use platforms such as Xactimate, XactAnalysis, CMS, Claims Connect, and Validate to write, submit, and revise estimates. • Ensure estimates meet carrier guidelines, company standards, and SLAs for turnaround time and quality. • Communicate with franchise teams and insurance adjusters via email, phone, and claim systems to clarify estimate details or resolve questions. • Offer coaching and guidance to franchise partners to improve documentation and estimating accuracy. • Support estimating team during catastrophe events or high-volume seasons. • Train or mentor new team members as needed.
Job Requirements
- Full-cycle estimating experience in mitigation, contents, and reconstruction (full-service)
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ years of experience in estimating or other analytical/document review roles
- 2+ years of experience in construction or restoration
- Familiarity with Xactimate or similar tools (Symbility, CoreLogic, etc.)
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Excel, and cloud-based software

• Review scope notes, moisture logs, and photos to draft accurate, timely insurance mitigation estimates (Water, Fire, Smoke, Mold, EMS, etc.). • Act as the critical bridge between our field teams, insurance adjusters, and Third-Party Administrators (TPAs) to ensure strict program compliance and swift approvals. • Write comprehensive, accurate mitigation estimates for Water, Fire, Smoke, Mold, and Emergency Mitigation Services (EMS) using both Xactimate and Symbility. • Navigate, upload, and manage strict compliance metrics within major TPA programs (Alacrity, Sedgwick, Lionsbridge, Westhill, etc.). • Review field documentation, sketches, photos, and psychrometric logs to ensure the scope of work aligns with IICRC standards and carrier guidelines. • Monitor assignment queues daily—including weekends as necessary—to ensure all TPA Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are strictly met. • Communicate professionally with insurance adjusters and TPA auditors to justify estimates, resolve discrepancies, and secure timely approvals.
