• Deliver engaging, individualized virtual counseling and support tailored to each student's mental health goals, IEP social-emotional objectives, and unique psychological profile. • Create structured intervention strategies and wellness plans that address school-related anxiety, executive dysfunction, depression, behavioral challenges, or social-emotional learning (SEL) milestones. • Adapt support in real time based on student crisis levels, engagement, and emotional regulation, providing a safe, empathetic, and confidential virtual space. • Track student progress and communicate effectively with families, school psychologists, and school district partners to ensure wraparound care and regulatory compliance.
Job Requirements
- Valid state licensure/certification (e.g., LMHC, LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or certified School Counselor).
- Experience working with children, adolescents, or young adults in a school, clinical, or tele-health setting.
- Deep understanding of IEPs, 504 plans, and how mental health impacts academic performance.
- Ability to design and deliver lesson plans aligned to student goals and accommodations
- Strong virtual instruction skills — comfort with video conferencing, digital whiteboards, and keeping students engaged online
- Ability to pass a background check
- Reliable computer, internet, webcam, and quiet workspace
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus

Role Description Genetic counselors help identify families at possible risk of a genetic condition by gathering and analyzing family history and inheritance patterns and calculating chances of recurrence. They provide information about genetic testing and related procedures. - Collaborates with Neonatology providers to counsel patients virtually, monitor abnormal test results from genetic tests. - Communicate using genetics expertise with the Neonatology provider to conduct research, education or community outreach. - Performs genetic counseling in accordance with the American Board of Genetic Counseling Scope of Practice guidelines. - Identifies and coordinates appropriate genetic counseling. - Discuss results with the physician and communicate with the patient. - Documents using EPIC. - May assist with data collection. - Provides essential genetic counseling services to patients and their families virtually (via telehealth) on various genetic topics. - Collaborates and communicates effectively with the Neonatology providers and care team related to patient care, genetics education, community outreach, and potentially research. - Coordinates appropriate genetic testing and interpretation of the results for patients and their families. - Reports results to the patient and the referring provider. - Reviews abnormal genetic test results with neonatal care team and communicates results to patients and their families. - Provides patients, families, and healthcare providers education about genetic conditions and available resources as needed. - Stay updated on industry advancements and best practices in genetic counseling. - Performs other related duties as assigned. Role Description As a Chat & Text Counselor, you will provide crisis intervention, emotional support, and resources to help-seekers through Crisis Chat and Text services. Operating in a fully remote capacity with an option to work on-site, you will play a critical role in delivering compassionate and effective support during moments of crisis. This position emphasizes maintaining high-quality standards in all interactions to ensure help-seekers receive the best possible care and guidance. By actively listening, assessing needs, and providing appropriate resources, you will make a meaningful impact on individuals seeking assistance. Primary Duties - Offers crisis-counseling services via chat and text. - Completes risk assessment, safety planning, de-escalation, and follow-up with Chat/Text visitors. - Serves as a mandated reporter in cases of suspected abuse or neglect. - Is familiar with resources and providing information and referrals to visitors as appropriate. - Maintains accurate and detailed chat/text reports. Documentation must be completed in real time. - Responds to concurrent interactions in alignment with 988 Lifeline standards; accepts overlapping interactions only when clinically appropriate. - Fulfills continuing education requirements as requested or required for the agency and the Suicide Prevention Center program. - Assists in the training process of new counselors. - Participates in community outreach events such as resources tables and presentations about suicide prevention as needed. - Attends routinely scheduled meetings for the Suicide Prevention Center.
